About Hesdin Tablet
Hesdin Tablet is primarily used to treat varicose veins (twisted and enlarged veins), lymphedema (swelling of arms and legs), and acute and chronic haemorrhoids (swollen veins of the lower rectum and anus). In addition, Hesdin Tablet also acts as an antioxidant that promotes healing. Generally, the problems related to obstructive blood flow due to swelling in the veins are treated by Hesdin Tablet .
Hesdin Tablet contains Diosmin, which has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It works by blocking the chemical messengers responsible for causing inflammation (swelling), improving blood flow to blocked veins, and reducing inflammation in the swelled-up veins. As a result, pain and swelling are reduced when the blood flows adequately to the blocked veins. This helps us carry out our daily activities, restoring normal functions. Also, Hesdin Tablet helps to improve quality of life.
Take Hesdin Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. Depending upon your medical condition, you are advised to take Hesdin Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you. In some cases, you may experience nausea, headache, abdominal pain, and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects of Hesdin Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.
Do not take Hesdin Tablet if you are allergic to Hesdin Tablet or its ingredients. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a kidney, heart, or liver problem, please inform your doctor before prescribing Hesdin Tablet . Hesdin Tablet should not be taken for a duration of more than three months. Please avoid the intake of spicy and fried food as it might help to improve your symptoms. Also, regular exercise enhances the rectum's swelling, makes it easy to pass out stools, and reduces constipation.

Disease/Condition Glossary
Varicose veins: When veins become enlarged and twisted, they are called varicose. The most commonly affected veins are those of the legs, as walking and standing increase pressure on the veins of the lower body. This can lead to pain and discomfort and sometimes more severe complications.
Lymphedema: Lymphedema generally refers to swelling in the legs and arms (sometimes one and sometimes both). It occurs when the lymph nodes are damaged or removed, as it is a part of cancer treatment. As a result, the lymphatic system is blocked, which prevents fluid in the lymph from draining out. Hence, the legs and arms swell up.
Haemorrhoids: When the lower rectum and anus veins are swollen, it is known as haemorrhoids or piles. Haemorrhoids can be internal (inside the rectum) or external (under the skin around the anus). It can be treated sometimes by simple lifestyle changes and home treatments. The exact cause for it is not known.
