About Galdopin Cream

Galdopin Cream belongs to the class of medications called topical antipruritics. It is used to relieve Itching associated with eczematous dermatitis (eczema). Eczema is a skin condition that causes patches of itchiness, inflammation, swelling, and cracked skin.

Doxepin, a topical antipruritic, is present in Galdopin Cream. It may act by inhibiting histamine, a chemical in the body that causes symptoms like itching. Thus, Galdopin Cream aids in relieving eczema-related skin itching.

Galdopin Cream is for external use only. Use Galdopin Cream as directed by your doctor. In some situations, Galdopin Cream may produce skin reactions such as burning, stinging, irritation, tingling, and rash. Galdopin Cream can also produce drowsiness or sleepiness, especially in the first few days of treatment. Most of these side effects are temporary and will go away on their own. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, visit a doctor.

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to any of the components in Galdopin Cream, or if you have a history of glaucoma, urinary retention, severe liver disease, depression and severe heart disease including disorders of the rhythm of the heartbeat. Do not use Galdopin Cream without a doctor's advice if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and all the medicines you are taking before taking Galdopin Cream to rule out any side effects. Diet & Lifestyle Advise

  • Commit to a regular routine; the first step toward controlling eczema is to develop a skincare routine that works for your skin and your schedule.
  • A regular shower or bath with a gentle cleanser, and a decent moisturiser twice daily, avoiding known triggers, and getting enough sleep can help keep your skin clear.
  • Track your triggers: Examine every product that touches your skin.
  • When testing a new product for the first time, dab a pea-sized amount onto the skin inside your wrist or elbow. Before continuing to use, check for any responses such as redness, irritation, or breakouts over the next day or two.
  • Consult an eczema specialist; it is important to consult with an eczema specialist because they take a more holistic approach to addressing the issue.
  • Staying hydrated is essential for everyone, but it may be especially crucial for eczema patients.
  • Limit or avoid the intake of alcohol and caffeine.
  • Do not scratch or pick at the affected region to avoid infecting it.
  • Choose natural foods and grains over processed items. Limiting starch intake may also help reduce inflammation.
  • Processed foods and foods heavy in sugar and fat should be avoided because they might induce inflammation.
  • Limit your salt intake and choose natural anti-inflammatory agents like herbs or spices like garlic, ginger, and turmeric.
  • Limit the consumption of Peanuts, wheat, milk, soy, eggs and fish.

Special Advise

  • Avoid contact of Galdopin Cream with the nose, mouth, or eyes. In case of accidental contact with these areas, rinse with water thoroughly.
