About Flucozox 0.5% Gel

Flucozox 0.5% Gel belongs to the class of medicines called 'antifungals' used to treat fungal skin infections. Fungal infection occurs when a fungus invades and affects the tissue on the skin. Symptoms of a fungal infection include skin rash, irritation, redness and scaling of the skin. 

Flucozox 0.5% Gel contains 'Fluconazole' that kills or prevents fungi or yeast by inhibiting an enzyme in fungi responsible for its normal fat metabolism; this interferes with the formation of the fungal cell membrane. As a result, fungal or yeast cells get killed or their growth is minimized.

Flucozox 0.5% Gel is for external use only. Use Flucozox 0.5% Gel as prescribed by your doctor. Flucozox 0.5% Gel may cause common side effects like itching, dryness, redness, and burning sensation at the application site. These side effects are not familiar to everyone and vary individually. If you notice any side effects that are not manageable, please consult your doctor.

Flucozox 0.5% Gel contains Fluconazole, which works by killing the fungus/yeast and preventing its growth by inhibiting the fungal cell membrane formation. It is used to treat fungal skin infections, such as athlete's foot, jock itch, and ringworm infections. It is also useful in treating vaginal yeast infections.

Directions for Use

Dusting powder: Dust the powder on the skin’s affected areas and pat it lightly on the skin.Gel/cream/lotion: Take a small amount on the fingertip and apply it as a thin layer on the clean and dry affected area as prescribed by your doctor. Wash your hands before and after application if your hands are not the affected area to prevent the spread of infection.Soap: Work the soap into a nice lather and apply it to the affected areas with your hands. Gently massage in circular motions and rinse off with clean water.
