About Digzyme Syrup
Digzyme Syrup is a digestive aid primarily used to treat digestive disorders. It is also an appetite stimulant (increases hunger) that effectively treats acid indigestion (heartburn), flatulence (gas), epigastric distress (upper abdominal pain), and eructation (burping). Digzyme Syrup can also be used to relieve other digestive disorders like pancreatic insufficiency (inability to produce pancreatic enzymes) and abdominal discomfort. Indigestion is the inability to digest the complex form of food associated with a sour stomach, gas formation with mild pain/discomfort in the stomach.
Digzyme Syrup contains two digestive enzymes, namely: Fungal diastase and Pepsin. Fungal diastase is a starch hydrolysing enzyme that breaks down complex carbohydrates (polysaccharides, i.e. starch) into simple carbohydrates (monosaccharides, i.e. simple sugar). It promotes digestion in cases of chronic illness, stomach fullness, flatulence, and indigestion. On the other hand, Pepsin is a protein-digesting enzyme that helps break down larger protein molecules into smaller units of protein (amino acids). Thus together, Digzyme Syrup treats digestive disorders and gastric problems.
Please take Digzyme Syrup in the dose and duration advised by your doctor based on your medical condition. Digzyme Syrup is generally safe to use. However, some may experience side effects like abdominal pain, feeling of sickness, skin rash, stomach upset, diarrhoea, painful urination, heartburn, nausea and vomiting. Although not everyone experiences these side effects, if they occur, please seek medical attention.
Let your doctor know if you are using any other medicines, herbal or vitamin supplements before you take Digzyme Syrup . Inform your doctor if you have any allergic reactions to pork protein before starting Digzyme Syrup . If you have a history of inflammation/swelling of the pancreas (acute pancreatitis), let your doctor know about it. Intake of probiotics, prebiotics, and plenty of fluids is recommended if you are suffering from indigestion. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should use Digzyme Syrup with proper consultation and caution.
Uses of Digzyme Syrup
Medicinal Benefits
Digzyme Syrup helps in relieving digestive disorders like indigestion, heartburn, gas, and abdominal discomfort. It contains two digestive enzymes, namely: Fungal diastase and Pepsin. Fungal diastase is a starch hydrolysing or amylolytic enzyme that breaks down the starch into simple sugars (maltose) for easy digestion of carbohydrates, fats and proteins. Pepsin is a proteolytic enzyme (protein-digesting) that breaks down larger protein molecules into smaller proteins (amino acids). Thus, Digzyme Syrup promotes the digestion of carbohydrates and proteins and helps absorb the intestine's essential nutrients.
