Canazole-VG Gel is used to treat vaginal thrush (candidiasis). Vaginal thrush (candidiasis) is an infection of the vagina and/or vulva caused by candida.
Canazole-VG Gel comprises clotrimazole, which works by destroying the fungus that causes the infection. Canazole-VG Gel eliminates the infection by causing holes in the fungal cell membrane and allows the components to leak out, thus killing the fungus.
Use Canazole-VG Gel as recommended by the physician. In some cases, Canazole-VG Gel may cause abdominal pain, vulvovaginal pain, nausea, and application site reactions, including itching, burning sensation, and irritation. These side effects of Canazole-VG Gel eventually subside without medical intervention. Consult your doctor immediately if any side effects worsen or persist.
Do not use Canazole-VG Gel if you are hypersensitive or allergic to any of its components. Canazole-VG Gel is for vaginal use only. Do not swallow. If you are pregnant, planning to have a baby, or are a nursing mother, you should not use Canazole-VG Gel without a doctor's advice. Tampons and other vaginal products should not be used while on treatment with Canazole-VG Gel. Avoid using Canazole-VG Gel during the menstrual period (menses); wait until menses is over.
