About Calcimax-P Suspension
Calcimax-P Suspension is used as a balanced calcium-phosphorus supplement for growing children. Unfortunately, many children do not get enough calcium and phosphorus due to less milk consumption or an incomplete diet. Calcium and phosphorus deficiency during the critical growth years leads to poor skeleton formation. Phosphorous deficiency may lead to rickets, muscle weakness, Gum disorders, dental caries, etc.
Calcimax-P Suspension contains Calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, and zinc. It provides calcium and phosphorous in the correct ratio. Maximum calcium absorption occurs when the proper ratio of calcium and phosphorus is 2:1. Vitamin D3, Magnesium, and zinc enhance the absorption and utilization of calcium.
Calcimax-P Suspension is for paediatric use only. Give Calcimax-P Suspension to children as advised by the doctor. Sometimes, your child may experience certain common side effects, such as bloating, heartburn, dizziness, diarrhoea and constipation. Most of these side effects resolve on their own. If these side effects persist, stop using this medicine and contact your doctor immediately.
Before using Calcimax-P Suspension , please inform the doctor of your children's medical conditions, sensitivities, and all drugs they are taking. Continue using Calcimax-P Suspension for as long as the doctor has suggested to treat your child's illness effectively. Do not use any other medications or supplements while using Calcimax-P Suspension unless recommended by the doctor.

Diet & Lifestyle Advise
If your child has been diagnosed with a calcium and phosphorus deficiency, following the below dietary and lifestyle recommendations is crucial. Additionally:
Monitor Progress: Regular check-ups with your paediatrician are essential to monitor your child's progress and adjust treatment plans if necessary.
Maintain a Balanced Diet: A consistently healthy diet rich in calcium and phosphorus sources are vital for long-term management.
A healthy diet rich in calcium and phosphorus is the primary way to prevent and manage deficiencies in children. Here are some key dietary components:
Calcium-Rich Foods:
Phosphorus-Rich Foods:
Vitamin D: Ensure adequate vitamin D intake, as it helps the body absorb calcium. Sunlight exposure (with sun protection) or supplements can be helpful.
Physical Activity: Regular weight-bearing exercises like walking, running, or jumping can promote bone development.
Limit sugary drinks and processed foods: These can hinder calcium absorption and contribute to unhealthy eating habits.
Age-Appropriate Portions: Children have different dietary needs based on their age. Consult a paediatrician or registered dietitian for guidance on portion sizes specific to your child's needs.
Food Allergies/Intolerances: If your child has allergies or intolerances to certain foods (e.g., lactose intolerance), discuss alternative calcium and phosphorus sources with your paediatrician.
Supplements: In some cases, a paediatrician might recommend calcium-phosphorus supplements such as Calcimax-P Suspension to address deficiencies, especially if dietary changes alone are insufficient.

Disease/Condition Glossary
Calcium Deficiency: Calcium deficiency can lead to a cascade of problems. Children might experience weak bones prone to fractures, stunted growth, and muscle cramps. In the long run, chronic calcium deficiency can increase the risk of osteoporosis later in life.
Phosphorus Deficiency: Phosphorus, crucial for bone growth alongside calcium, can be deficient in children with poor diets. This underscores the importance of a balanced diet. A deficiency in phosphorus can result in weak bones prone to fractures and a condition called rickets, causing painful softening and bending of bones. It can also lead to muscle weakness and hinder growth.
