Bifocan Cream

Bifocan Cream belongs to the class of antifungal primarily used to treat fungal infections. An infection occurs when a fungus invades and affects the tissue on the skin. Fungi can live in the air, soil, water and plants. Symptoms of a fungal infection include skin rash, irritation, redness, and scaling of the skin.

Bifocan Cream contains 'bifonazole', which belongs to the imidazole antifungal group that kills fungi by causing holes in their cell membrane, thereby leaking all content. Thus Bifocan Cream improves your skin infection.

Use this Bifocan Cream as advised by the doctor. Common side effects of Bifocan Cream skin rash, scaling, redness of the skin, and dry skin. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. If these side effects persist longer, please consult your doctor. 

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to Bifocan Cream. It is essential to tell your doctor if you use any other azole antifungal before using Bifocan Cream, otherwise, using another antifungal may lead to overdose and toxicity. Let your doctor know if you have liver diseases, kidney diseases, heart diseases, or human immunodeficiency virus. Bifocan Cream and mineral oil additive in Bifocan Cream may weaken rubber product's activities of contraceptive devices, latex condoms, diaphragms, and cervical caps. Bifocan Cream should not be used in the eye. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should use Bifocan Cream with proper consultation and caution.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Inform your doctor if you are taking anticoagulant ( warfarin).

Drug-Disease Interactions: Inform your doctor if you have liver diseases, kidney diseases, human immunodeficiency virus infection before using Bifocan Cream. 

• WARFARIN

• Use mild soap while taking baths and prefer warm baths.
• Avoid harsh products on your skin.
• Do not scratch or pick your skin to avoid getting the affected area infected.
• Manage stress, eat healthily, drink plenty of water, exercise regularly, and get plenty of sleep.

• Bifocan Cream may cause a local skin irritation which may have similar symptoms of the infection. If any of your symptoms gets worse, stop treatment and see your doctor as soon as possible.

Fungal infection: A fungal infection (also called mycosis) is a skin disease caused by a fungus when it invades the tissue. 

Tinea pedis or Athlete's foot: It is a fungal infection between the toes due to sweating.

Tinea cruris or Jock itch: A fungal infection in the skin of the genitals, inner thighs, and buttocks.

Tinea Versicolor:  The fungus interferes with the normal pigmentation of the skin, resulting in small, discolored patches.
