About Asuperz Softgel Capsule 90's

Asuperz Softgel Capsule 90's belongs to a class of drugs called retinoids (similar to vitamin A). Asuperz Softgel Capsule 90's is used to treat acute promyelocytic leukaemia (a type of blood problem). Acute promyelocytic leukaemia is a blood cancer that causes a marked increase in a type of immature white blood cells known as promyelocytes in the blood and bone marrow. 

Asuperz Softgel Capsule 90's contains Tretinoin, a form of vitamin A that works by reducing the excessive production of abnormal blood cells and stimulates the growth of normal, mature cells in blood and bone marrow. Thus, helps in the treatment of acute promyelocytic leukaemia.

Take Asuperz Softgel Capsule 90's as prescribed. Your doctor will advise you how often you need to take Asuperz Softgel Capsule 90's based on your medical condition. Some people may experience dizziness, headache, feeling tired, stomach pain, irregular heartbeat, hair loss, bone or joint pain, dry skin and changes in eyesight or hearing. Most of these side effects of Asuperz Softgel Capsule 90's do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor. 

If you are allergic to Tretinoin, peanuts, soya or any other ingredients in Asuperz Softgel Capsule 90's, please tell your doctor. Avoid taking Asuperz Softgel Capsule 90's if you are pregnant as it may harm the foetus. Avoid breastfeeding while taking Asuperz Softgel Capsule 90's as it is excreted into breast milk and may harm the baby. Avoid taking Asuperz Softgel Capsule 90's if you are taking other retinoid medicines (acitretin, tazarotene, isotretinoin), vitamin A and tetracyclines (antibiotics). If you are allergic to any sugars, please inform your doctor before taking Asuperz Softgel Capsule 90's as it may contain sorbitol.

Asuperz Softgel Capsule 90's reduces the excessive production of abnormal blood cells and stimulates the growth of normal, mature cells in blood and bone marrow. Directions for Use

Take Asuperz Softgel Capsule 90's preferably with a meal or as advised by the doctor. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. Do not break, crush or chew it.

Drug-Drug Interaction: Asuperz Softgel Capsule 90's may interact with antibiotics (erythromycin, clarithromycin, rifampicin, tetracyclines), vitamin A, retinoids, low-dose progestogens, antifungal (ketoconazole, itraconazole, posaconazole, fluconazole), corticosteroids (dexamethasone, prednisolone), anticonvulsants (phenobarbital), anti-HIV medicines (saquinavir, ritonavir), heart-related medicines (diltiazem, verapamil), drugs for stomach ulcers (cimetidine), immunosuppressant (ciclosporin) and medicines to reduce bleeding (aprotinin, aminocaproic acid, tranexamic acid).

Therefore, you are advised to use effective contraceptive measures while taking Asuperz Softgel Capsule 90's and for 1 month after stopping treatment with Asuperz Softgel Capsule 90's to prevent pregnancy. Also, women using Asuperz Softgel Capsule 90's should take a pregnancy test every month and if you become pregnant while taking Asuperz Softgel Capsule 90's, inform your doctor immediately.
Asuperz Softgel Capsule 90's may cause dizziness as a temporary side effect. Therefore, drive only if you are alert after taking Asuperz Softgel Capsule 90's.
You are not recommended to take low-dose progestogens (mini pill) with Asuperz Softgel Capsule 90's as their effectiveness may be reduced. However, discuss with your doctor if you have any concerns regarding this so that a different oral contraceptive may be prescribed.
Asuperz Softgel Capsule 90's may cause painful swelling in the leg in a few patients. If you experience painful swelling in your leg, difficulty breathing or sudden chest pain while taking Asuperz Softgel Capsule 90's, please inform your doctor immediately as these might be signs of a blood clot.
