Ascabiol Emulsion is used to treat wounds, cuts, and minor burns, and protect against infections. In addition to this, it is also used to treat scabies (a contagious, intensely itchy skin condition caused by a tiny, burrowing mite) and pediculosis (a condition in which tiny insects infest the scalp).
Ascabiol Emulsion contains Cetrimide and Gamma benzene hexachloride(lindane). Cetrimide has antiseptic, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. Cetrimide destroys or damages the cell membranes of bacteria; this eventually results in the death of bacteria. Gamma benzene hexachloride(lindane) works by killing the lice and the eggs and mites of scabies.
The dose and duration will be prescribed by the doctor depending upon your medical condition. The most common side effects of Ascabiol Emulsion are skin rash, burning, itching, irritation of the skin, tingling, and numbness of the skin, as well as dizziness in some cases. Most of these side effects of Ascabiol Emulsion do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Avoid using Ascabiol Emulsion in large amounts or use for a longer time than prescribed as it does not give quick or better results but increases the risk of side effects. Ascabiol Emulsion is not recommended in seizure patients. Ascabiol Emulsion is used with caution in neurotoxicity.
