Zevtaz 2 gm/0.5 gm Injection contains Ceftazidime and Tazobactam. Ceftazidime works by interfering with the formation of the bacterial cell wall (a protective covering) that is necessary for their survival. Tazobactam decreases bacterial resistance and enhances the activity of Ceftazidime against the bacteria. Together, Zevtaz 2 gm/0.5 gm Injection helps to treat bacterial infections.
Sometimes, you may experience redness and swelling at the injection site, headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, and muscle spasms. Most of these side effects of Zevtaz 2 gm/0.5 gm Injection do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Zevtaz 2 gm/0.5 gm Injection should not be administered if you are currently on any vaccinations or are scheduled for the same. Zevtaz 2 gm/0.5 gm Injection should be used with caution in those with Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhoea. Drive only if you are alert, as Zevtaz 2 gm/0.5 gm Injection may cause dizziness.
Drug-Drug Interactions: Zevtaz 2 gm/0.5 gm Injection may interact with certain vaccinations (e.g. BCG vaccine, cholera vaccine, typhoid vaccine) and immunosuppressive medications (e.g. mycophenolate mofetil).
