Ultrafolin Tablet belongs to the class of 'nutritional supplements', primarily used to treat nutritional deficiencies. It is used to treat and prevent niacin deficiency (pellagra), folate deficiency, and vitamin B12 deficiency. Nutritional deficiency occurs when the body is unable to absorb or get enough nutrients from food. Ultrafolin Tablet contains Folic acid, Vitamin B12 (Methylcobalamin/Mecobalamin), and Nicotinamide (vitamin B3). Folic acid is the synthetic form of folate. Folate is a water-soluble Vitamin B naturally found in food sources. It helps in the formation of red blood cells and prevents DNA changes that may lead to cancer. Vitamin B12 regulates body functions, such as cell multiplication, blood formation, and protein synthesis. Nicotinamide (also known as Niacinamide) is a form of vitamin B3 (niacin). It helps in replenishing the energy in the body cells and provides essential nutrients.

Your doctor will decide the dosage based on your medical condition. Sometimes, Ultrafolin Tablet may have common side effects like nausea, upset stomach, and diarrhoea. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please reach out to your doctor.

Let your doctor know if you use any other medicines and herbal products before starting Ultrafolin Tablet . If you are allergic to Ultrafolin Tablet or its inactive components, please inform your doctor. Folic acid is excreted into breast milk; hence, breastfeeding mothers should consult their doctor before starting Ultrafolin Tablet . It is not recommended to consume alcohol while being treated with Ultrafolin Tablet since excessive alcohol consumption reduces the absorption and increases the elimination of folic acid.

Drug-Drug Interaction: Ultrafolin Tablet may interact with blood thinners (warfarin), antibiotics (chloramphenicol, tetracycline), gout medicine (colchicine), anti-diabetics (metformin), anti-ulcer drugs (cimetidine, omeprazole), anti-cancer drugs (methotrexate), fits medicines (phenytoin), chemotherapy medicines (raltitrexed), and antiparasitics (pyrimethamine).

Drug-Food Interaction: Excessive alcohol consumption reduces the absorption and increases the elimination of folic acid. Hence, please avoid alcohol while using Ultrafolin Tablet .

Drug-Disease Interaction: Inform your doctor if you have malabsorption syndrome (difficulty absorbing nutrition from food), bleeding disorders, diabetes, gout, liver/kidney diseases, stomach ulcers, and allergic reactions to medicines before starting Ultrafolin Tablet .

• Try Vitamin B complex food sources like milk, cheese, eggs, liver and kidney, chicken, red meat, tuna, mackerel, salmon, shellfish, oysters, clams, dark green vegetables, such as spinach and kale, beets, avocados, potatoes, whole grains, cereals, kidney beans, black beans, and chickpea.
• Try folate-rich food sources like broccoli, Brussels sprouts, leafy green vegetables, cabbage, kale, spring greens, spinach, peas, chickpeas, kidney beans, and breakfast cereals fortified with folic acid.
• Sprinkle sunflower seeds over your food, vegetables and salads. 
• Include fruits like citrus, banana, and watermelon in your diet.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.
• Exercise regularly and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Avoid excess fatty foods. 

• Clinical monitoring of folic acid and vitamins B levels through blood examinations is recommended.

• Regularly monitor your blood sugar levels since Nicotinamide in Ultrafolin Tablet may alter blood glucose levels in diabetic patients.
