About Tido Tablet

Tido Tablet belongs to a class of medication called 'antibiotics' used to treat several bacterial infections of the urinary tract, vagina, skin, blood, nose, throat, gums, chest, and lungs. Also, Tido Tablet may be used to treat infections such as giardiasis and amoebiasis (stomach infections), and trichomoniasis (genital infection) caused by protozoa. A bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grows in the body and cause infection. It can infect any part of the body and multiple very quickly. Tido Tablet does not work against infections caused by the virus.

Tido Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics, namely: Doxycycline and Tinidazole. Doxycycline works by inhibiting the production of essential proteins necessary for bacteria to grow, multiply and increase in numbers. Tinidazole works by damaging the DNA (genetic material) of bacteria and protozoa and inhibits the formation of new DNA essential for bacteria's survival. Thereby, it kills micro-organisms and prevents the spread of infection.

Tido Tablet is not recommended for children below 12 years as the safety and effectiveness were not established. Drive only if you are alert as Tido Tablet may cause drowsiness, weakness, or numbness. Avoid exposure to strong sunlight as Tido Tablet may make the skin more sensitive to sunburn than normal.
