It allows the blood to flow more smoothly and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker and works by relaxing and widening the blood vessels. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic and its function is to remove extra water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine. Telpha-AH 40 mg/5 mg/12.5 mg Tablet helps to lower high blood pressure thus reducing the chances of future heart attack and stroke.
You can take Telpha-AH 40 mg/5 mg/12.5 mg Tablet with food or without food. It should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. Do not chew, bite, or break it.
