About Slvrgen Cream

Slvrgen Cream is a combination medicine primarily used to treat first and second-degree burns. It is also indicated in other skin ulcers such as incisions, abrasions, minor cuts and wounds.

Slvrgen Cream contains Recombinant human epidermal growth factor, Chlorhexidine gluconate and Silver sulfadiazine. Slvrgen Cream works by decreasing bacterial growth and healing time. It also increases the tensile strength of the scars, thereby promoting healing.

In some cases, Slvrgen Cream may cause side effects like irritation, itching, pain, and rash. Most of these side effects may not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Let the doctor know if you are allergic to any of the components in Slvrgen Cream. Consult the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Keep the doctor informed about your health condition and medications to rule out any side effects/interactions.

Uses of Slvrgen Cream

Treatment of First and second-degree burns and skin ulcers such as incisions, abrasions, minor cuts and wounds

Medicinal Benefits

Slvrgen Cream is a synergistic formulation used for burns and wound treatment. Slvrgen Cream contains Recombinant human epidermal growth factor, Chlorhexidine gluconate and Silver sulfadiazine. The recombinant human epidermal growth factor activates by binding with EGF receptors on keratinocytes and fibroblasts. It results in cell proliferation, inhibition of cell death, formation of new blood vessels, and collagen synthesis. Chlorhexidine gluconate has antiseptic & antibacterial properties. It is powerful and non-toxic. It binds to bacterial cell walls and inhibits bacterial growth. Silver sulfadiazine has effective anti-microbial activity and inhibits bacterial synthesis by acting on bacterial cell walls/membranes. Together, Slvrgen Cream helps treat burns. It ensures faster wound healing and also protects the cells from silver toxicity.

Based on the severity of skin damage, burns are categorised into three main types, namely, first-degree (also known as superficial burns, which cause minimal damage to the skin), second-degree (extends beyond the top layer of skin and causes blisters), and third-degree burns (most severe burns extending through every layer of skin). Symptoms include blisters, pain, peeling skin, shock, swelling, and red, white or charred skin.
