About Simpod-L Tablet

Simpod-L Tablet belongs to the group of antibiotics medication used to treat bacterial infections of the lungs (pneumonia), sinus (sinusitis), bladder (cystitis), ear infections, etc. Bacterial infections are caused by the growth of dangerous bacteria within or on the body. Infectious or toxic bacteria can make you sick and reproduce swiftly in your body. These dangerous bacteria release toxins, destroying tissue and making you sick. Simpod-L Tablet is ineffective against viral diseases such as colds and flu.

Simpod-L Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics: Cefpodoxime Proxetil and Levofloxacin. Cefpodoxime Proxetil inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis and leads to cell death, thereby killing the bacteria. On the other hand, Levofloxacin works by interfering with a bacterial enzyme involved in repairing and replicating bacteria's DNA (genetic material). Together, they kill bacteria and clear infection.

Take Simpod-L Tablet exactly as directed by your doctor. The dose and duration of Simpod-L Tablet may differ depending on the severity of your infection and your responses to treatment. Most of these adverse effects do not necessitate medical treatment and will subside gradually over time. However, if you are experiencing these adverse effects on a regular basis, you should consult your doctor.

Please notify your doctor if you have any allergies (including antibiotics), renal, liver problems, heart, or CNS disorders before beginning Simpod-L Tablet. Self-medication may result in antibiotic resistance, in which medications fail to act against specific bacterial illnesses. If pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking Simpod-L Tablet. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking Simpod-L Tablet as it may cause dizziness. Simpod-L Tablet should not be used in children. Simpod-L Tablet may cause dizziness and vision problems. So, drive or operate machinery only if you are alert.
