Setfrac Plus Tablet belongs to the class of nutritional supplements, primarily used to support bone health and effectively treats various conditions caused by low calcium levels in the body. It is used as a supplement in osteoporosis (weak and brittle bones), rickets or osteomalacia (softening or deforming of bones due to lack of calcium), osteopenia (low bone mass), fractured bones, and joint pain.

Setfrac Plus Tablet consists of Cissus quadrangularis (a herbal supplement), Calcium (mineral), and Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3). Cissus quadrangularis acts as an antioxidant and is used in reducing bone loss, regulating diabetes, high cholesterol, allergies, and asthma. Calcium is used to prevent or treat a calcium deficiency. It provides essential nutrients to maintain bone formation. Cholecalciferol helps maintain blood calcium and phosphorus levels and mineralization of bone. Together, Setfrac Plus Tablet helps treat and prevent bone disorders.

Your doctor will decide the duration based on your medical condition. Setfrac Plus Tablet is likely safe to use. In some cases, it may cause common side effects like headache, intestinal gas or belching, dry mouth, diarrhoea, and insomnia (difficulty in sleeping). These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. If the side effects persist or worsen, please consult a doctor.

If you are allergic to any of the components, please inform your doctor. Please tell your doctor if you have hypercalcaemia (high calcium levels), hypervitaminosis D (high vitamin D levels), heart/liver/blood vessel diseases, kidney stones, diabetes, and malabsorption syndrome (difficulty absorbing nutrition from food) before starting Setfrac Plus Tablet. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking Setfrac Plus Tablet. It is not recommended to consume alcohol while being treated with Setfrac Plus Tablet since it may affect calcium absorption.

• Include dairy products like milk, yoghurt, cheese or milk-based custard in your diet.

• Eat daily a serving of broccoli, cabbage, bok choy, spinach and other green leafy vegetables.

• Include the best dietary sources of vitamin D, such as fish liver oils and vitamin D–fortified milk.

• Snack on calcium-rich nuts like Brazil nuts or almonds. 

• Sprinkle sesame seeds over your food, vegetables and salads. Sesame seeds are high in calcium.

• Avoid or reduce the intake of caffeine, soft drinks and alcohol that inhibit calcium absorption.

• Replace the meat with tofu or tempeh for extra calcium in your food.
