About Sernaz B Cream

Sernaz B Cream is a dermatological combination medication used for the topical treatment of fungal infection of the skin with eczema. Fungal infection is a skin disease in which a fungus attacks the tissue and causes infection. Fungal infections may be contagious (spread from one person to another).

Sernaz B Cream is a combination of two drugs, namely: Sertaconazole (antifungal) and Beclometasone (corticosteroid). The fungal cell membranes are essential for their survival as they prevent unwanted substances into the cells and stop the leakage of cell contents. Sertaconazole works by damaging and causing holes in the fungal cell membranes leading to its bursts, ultimately killing fungi. On the other hand, Beclometasone works by acting inside skin cells, thereby inhibiting the release of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause redness, itching, and swelling. When the skin reacts to any allergens, such chemicals are released normally.

Use Sernaz B Cream as prescribed. Sernaz B Cream is only for external use. Avoid contact of Sernaz B Cream with nose, ears, mouth, or eyes. In case Sernaz B Cream comes in contact with these areas accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly. Some people may experience skin tenderness, mild rash, dry skin, skin bruising, itching, irritation, redness, burning, or stinging sensation at the application site. Most of these side effects of Sernaz B Cream do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Sernaz B Cream or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Avoid contact of Sernaz B Cream with nose, mouth, or eyes as it may cause irritation. In case Sernaz B Cream comes in contact with these areas accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly. If you are pregnant or a nursing mother, it is advised to consult a doctor before using Sernaz B Cream. Do not apply Sernaz B Cream to broken skin or open cuts/wounds. Avoid covering the treated area with dressings or bandages unless advised by a doctor. Do not swallow Sernaz B Cream. In case of accidental swallowing, please consult a doctor immediately. Avoid smoking or going near naked flames as Sernaz B Cream catches fire and burns easily. If you have acne, rosacea (redness and often red, small, pus-filled bumps on the face), eye, or any other skin infection, inform your doctor before taking Sernaz B Cream.
