Sancium-Strong Tablet belongs to the group of medicines called nutritional supplements used to treat and prevent nutritional deficiencies. A nutritional deficiency occurs when the body does not absorb or get enough nutrients from food.

Sancium-Strong Tablet contains Calcitriol, Calcium citrate, Methylcobalamin and Folic acid. Calcium citrate makes the bones stronger by increasing their density. Calcitriol helps in the absorption of calcium from the stomach. Methylcobalamin helps in the proper functioning of the brain and nerves and the production of red blood cells. Folic acid helps in producing and maintaining new blood cells. Together, Sancium-Strong Tablet helps in treating nutritional deficiencies.

In some cases, you may experience side effects such as stomach upset, constipation, and nausea. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Do not take Sancium-Strong Tablet if you are allergic to any of its components. Inform the doctor if you have anaemia, infections, kidney stones, cancer, parathyroid gland disorder, high levels of calcium or vitamin D in the blood, kidney or liver problems or if you are alcoholic. Consult the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Let the doctor know if you are taking any other medicines, including supplements or herbal products.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Inform the doctor if you are taking antihypertensive (metoprolol), anti-neoplastic (arsenic trioxide), supplements (ergocalciferol, cholecalciferol), hormone (levothyroxine), or antibiotic (chloramphenicol).
