Reopod DT 100 Tablet belongs to the group of cephalosporin antibiotics indicated in the treatment of bacterial infections. Bacterial infections are caused due to the multiplication of harmful bacteria inside or on the body. Reopod DT 100 Tablet does not work against infections caused by the virus, including cold and flu.
Reopod DT 100 Tablet contains 'Cefpodoxime', which is a broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Reopod DT 100 Tablet works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering (cell wall), which is necessary for their survival. Thereby, Reopod DT 100 Tablet kills the bacteria and helps in treating bacterial infections.
In some cases, Reopod DT 100 Tablet may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea (watery or loose stool), and abdominal pain. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Do not give Reopod DT 100 Tablet to the child if they are allergic to any of its components. Inform the doctor if your child is allergic to penicillin antibiotics or has kidney problems. If your child is on any other medications, including vitamin/mineral supplements or herbal products, tell your doctor.
