About Q4LIC Tablet

Q4LIC Tablet belongs to the class of medications called nutritional supplements primarily used to treat folic acid deficiency in pregnant women. Q4LIC Tablet also treats various conditions such as infertility, anaemia, cardiovascular disease, hyperhomocysteinemia, mild cognitive impairment, and infant and child health development. Folic acid deficiency, often known as folate deficit, is a disorder with insufficient folic acid in the body.

Q4LIC Tablet contains Folic Acid [as (6s)-5-Methyltetrahydrofolic Acid, Glucosamine Salt]. Q4LIC Tablet is structurally similar to the active forms of folic acid. It provides completed folate that the body may use right away without any sort of metabolism. Folic acid is required to develop appropriate cognitive and neurological functions in the fetus and satisfy the mother's increased needs throughout preconception, pregnancy, and nursing.

Q4LIC Tablet should be taken as recommended. In rare cases, Q4LIC Tablet may cause common side effects like nausea, stomach upset, feeling sick, loss of appetite, and abdominal bloating. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Do not take Q4LIC Tablet if you are allergic to any of its components. Please notify your doctor if you have malabsorption syndrome (difficulty absorbing nutrition from food). Although safe, consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding. Limit or avoid the consumption of alcoholic beverages.

Your baby is more likely to have neural tube defects if you do not get enough folic acid before and during pregnancy. Neural tube defects are serious birth defects that can cause death by affecting the spine, spinal cord, or brain.
Q4LIC Tablet should be taken as recommended by the doctor. Your doctor will specify the right dose and duration based on your medical condition.
Folate deficiency occurs when your body lacks adequate folic acid/folate levels. You can overcome this deficiency by including food sources rich in folic acid like broccoli, sprouts, leafy green vegetables, cabbage, kale, spring greens, spinach, peas, chickpeas, kidney beans, and breakfast cereals fortified with folic acid. If your folic acid levels are still low, your doctor may suggest supplements.
It is important to tell your doctor if you have malabsorption syndrome (difficulty absorbing nutrition from food) since it may be hard to absorb vitamins through oral administration. Your doctor may suggest other dosage forms in such a case.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is time for the next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and follow your usual dosage.
