Ovanac-DSR Tablet is a combination medicine primarily used to treat female infertility. It also finds use as an antioxidant and helps in promoting overall physical health alongside its main use. Female infertility is a condition in which a female body is unable to conceive despite regular, unprotected sexual intercourse for at least one year. 

Ovanac-DSR Tablet contains Dehydroepiandrosterone and Melatonin. Ovanac-DSR Tablet helps in the synthesis and maintenance of sex hormones in the body, by acting as a parent molecule to sex hormones. Ovanac-DSR Tablet aids the healthy production of egg cells in the female ovary, thereby improving female fertility. Ovanac-DSR Tablet also works as an antioxidant, thus protecting body cells from damage by free radicals.

Ovanac-DSR Tablet may be taken without food, but it is better to take it at a designated time. Ovanac-DSR Tablet should be swallowed whole and not crushed or chewed. In some cases, Ovanac-DSR Tablet may cause certain common side effects such as nausea, stomach ache, fatigue, mood swings and headache. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if these side effects persist. 

It is advisable to inform the doctor if you are allergic to any of its components. Proceed with caution if you have a history of breast cancer, ovarian cancer, endometriosis, fibroids, PCOS, depression, bipolar disorder or schizophrenia. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Avoid alcohol consumption with Ovanac-DSR Tablet as there might be an interaction.

Ovanac-DSR Tablet contains Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) and Melatonin. It is used primarily to treat female infertility. Ovanac-DSR Tablet is a very potent promoter of oestrogen production. Hence, it finds wide use in treating female infertility. DHEA helps in the synthesis and maintenance of sex hormones in the body, by acting as a precursor of sex hormones. It acts directly on plasma membrane receptors and promotes the conversion of sex hormones to their most potent counterparts. DHEA enhances the production of healthy egg cells in the female body and improves the chance of pregnancy by a great margin. It also greatly reduces the chances of miscarriage by genetically preventing conditions that may lead to loss of pregnancy. Melatonin is also a potent antioxidant and it specifically protects healthy follicles from oxidative damage, thereby improving the chances for a healthy pregnancy. Ovanac-DSR Tablet should not be used in case of any known allergy to either of the components. Inform your doctor if you have/had cardiovascular health disorders, breast or uterine cancer, endometriosis, fibroids, high cholesterol, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), bleeding disorders, sweating disorders and joint pain. Consult your doctor before using Ovanac-DSR Tablet during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Keep your doctor informed if you are on medication for diabetes, heart disease/stroke, antidepressant, anti-psychotic or anticoagulant therapy.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Ovanac-DSR Tablet may interact with beta-blockers (atenolol), anti-diabetic drug (metformin), blood-thinners (warfarin), antipsychotics (clozapine), anti-seizure drugs (carbamazepine, sodium valproate), sedatives (triazolam).

Drug-Food Interactions: Avoid taking Ovanac-DSR Tablet with soybeans, liquor, candy sweets and grapefruit juice. Avoid intake of Ovanac-DSR Tablet with any herb that can affect heart rhythm. 

Drug-Disease Interactions: Ovanac-DSR Tablet should be used with caution in patients with a known hypersensitivity disorder, mental health disorder, thromboembolic disorder, cardiovascular disorder, bleeding or clotting disorder, diabetes, joint pain, hypothyroidism and liver disease.

• Load up on meats, fatty fish, oranges and strawberries, sesame seeds, soybean, canola oil and pistachios to enhance anti-oxidation and improve fertility.
• Avoid foods containing soy, liquorice (candy), chromium (grape juice) and alcohol as there may be an interaction. 
• Do regular exercise and physical activity.
• Aerobics, yoga and meditation may help in relaxing the body and mind.
• Consume a healthy diet, including food rich in antioxidants, fibre-rich foods, and high-fat dairy. Cut down carbs or limit refined carbs.
• Try to be stress-free to improve your mood swings due to hormonal fluctuations.
