Nedocef-50 Dry Syrup belongs to a group of antibiotics used to treat bacterial infections of the ear, nose, sinuses (sinusitis), throat (tonsillitis, pharyngitis), lungs (bronchitis, pneumonia), and urinary system (cystitis and kidney infections). Infectious or harmful bacteria can make you sick and reproduce quickly in your body. These harmful bacteria produce toxins, damaging tissue and making you sick.

Nedocef-50 Dry Syrup contains Cefixime (antibiotic) and Lactic Acid Bacillus (beneficial lactic acid-producing bacteria). Cefixime kills the bacterial cell by blocking the chemical (mucopeptides) released by the bacteria's outer layer (cell wall). In turn, Nedocef-50 Dry Syrup weakens and destroys the bacterial cell wall. It is a broad range of antibiotics that helps in fighting various types of bacteria. Lactic Acid Bacillus is a beneficial lactic acid-producing bacteria (good bacteria) that supports the growth of friendly bacteria in the intestine, maintaining a healthy balance of microflora in the gut environment. Lactic Acid Bacillus prevents diarrhoea due to a prolonged intake of Nedocef-50 Dry Syrup. Thus, together Nedocef-50 Dry Syrup helps in the prevention of infections.  Nedocef-50 Dry Syrup will not work for colds, flu, or other viral infections.

Take Nedocef-50 Dry Syrup with or without food. It should be swallowed as a whole, do not crush or chew the tablet. The dose and duration of Nedocef-50 Dry Syrup can vary depending on your condition and the severity of the infection. It is also recommended to complete the course of medicine even if you feel better, as it is an antibiotic. Long-term use of Nedocef-50 Dry Syrup may affect your blood, kidney, and liver health, so a yearly diagnostics test of these parameters is recommended. • Coughing and sneezing should be covered.
• If you are ill, stay at home.
• Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces.
• Stay away from polluted food and water.
• Avoid the intake of alcoholic beverages with Nedocef-50 Dry Syrup as it can make you dehydrated and affect your sleep. This can make it harder for your body to aid the Nedocef-50 Dry Syrup in fighting off infections.

• Even if you feel better after taking Nedocef-50 Dry Syrup, do not stop taking it until your doctor says so. This might cause the symptoms to reappear and make the infection difficult to treat due to antibiotic resistance.
• Nedocef-50 Dry Syrup can affect growing teeth, so it should be avoided during pregnancy and in children less than ten years old.
• Nedocef-50 Dry Syrup should not be consumed beyond its expiry date as it breaks down into harmful chemicals that can damage the kidney.
• Make sure you drink plenty of fluids when you are sick. This will, in general, help you clear out the infection faster, protect you from dehydration, and will help you overcome some unpleasant side effects of taking Nedocef-50 Dry Syrup.
