About Metolar I 25 Tablet

Metolar I 25 Tablet belongs to the class of cardiovascular agents primarily used to prevent angina or heart failure. Angina pectoris is chest pain caused due to reduced blood flow to the heart (coronary artery disease). It occurs when the blood vessels supplying the heart are blocked or narrowed.

Metolar I 25 Tablet contains Ivabradine and Metoprolol. These work together to lower heart rate and increase heart pumping efficiency, distributing blood throughout the body.

Metolar I 25 Tablet should be taken as prescribed. Your doctor will decide the dose of the medicine based on your medical condition. In some cases, Metolar I 25 Tablet may cause certain side effects such as uncontrolled blood pressure, headache, dizziness and blurred vision, diarrhoea, headache, weight gain, tiredness, dizziness and tiredness. In this way, it lowers the heart's requirement for oxygen, especially in situations where an angina attack can happen.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Metolar I 25 Tablet may have interaction with antiviral medications (e.g. nirmatrelvir, ritonavir), antidepressants (e.g. fluoxetine, sertraline), antipsychotic medications (e.g. quetiapine), antiemetic drug (e.g. ondansetron).

Drug-Food Interactions: Avoid intake of grapefruit juice with Metolar I 25 Tablet as it may increase the levels of Metolar I 25 Tablet in the blood. Also, avoid sodium, potassium, magnesium, and calcium-rich foods with Metolar I 25 Tablet as they may reduce the effect of Metolar I 25 Tablet .

Drug-Disease Interactions: Metolar I 25 Tablet may interact with disease conditions, including conduction disturbances, heart failure, hepatic impairment, hypotension, bradyarrhythmia/AV block, cardiogenic shock/hypotension, CHF, diabetes, hemodialysis, hypersensitivity, ischemic heart disease, PVD and liver disease.
