It is composed of lornoxicam and paracetamol primarily used to reduce pain and inflammation. The pain is an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience associated with actual or potential tissue damage. When you do something that hurts your body, your brain triggers the pain response. Inflammation is a localized physical condition in which part of the body becomes reddened, swollen, hot, and often painful, especially as a reaction to injury or infection.
Lorapt P 8mg/325mg Tablet is composed of two medicines: Lornoxicam (pain reducer) and Paracetamol (fever reducer/mild analgesic). Lorapt P 8mg/325mg Tablet helps relieve pain from conditions like headache, mild migraine, muscle pain, dental pain, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, and painful menses (periods). Lornoxicam works by inhibiting chemical messengers like prostaglandins (responsible for producing pain and inflammation). Paracetamol has both analgesic and antipyretic (fever reducer) properties which decrease mild pain and possibly fever.
Take Lorapt P 8mg/325mg Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Lorapt P 8mg/325mg Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical conditions. You may experience nausea, indigestion, vomiting, diarrhoea, and stomach pain. Most of these side effects of Lorapt P 8mg/325mg Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.
Taking more than the daily prescribed dose of Lorapt P 8mg/325mg Tablet may cause liver damage or allergic reactions like swelling of the mouth, face, throat, difficulty in breathing, skin rash, or itching. Most of the liver injury cases are associated with the use of paracetamol at doses that exceed 4 gm per day. Gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcer formation may be observed using Lorapt P 8mg/325mg Tablet so that the doctor may prescribe you the lowest dose available.
Lorapt P 8mg/325mg Tablet helps to reduce any pain and inflammations caused due to various complications or conditions. It significantly works on providing relief from pain for extended hours. Lorapt P 8mg/325mg Tablet helps relieve pain from conditions like headache, mild migraine, muscle pain, dental pain, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, and painful menses (periods). It contains paracetamol which is less irritant to the stomach than other pain killers. Hence, it is well tolerated by patients who have allergies to aspirin or risk of gastro bleeding or ulcer formation. Besides this, it does not affect bleeding time and reduces fever due to pain or swelling.

Immediately contact your doctor if you are pregnant and breastfeeding.
Drug-Drug Interactions: Lorapt P 8mg/325mg Tablet interacts with other pain killers (oxyphenbutazone, metamizole, imatinib mesylate), anticancer medicines (methotrexate, pilocarpine), medicines used in tuberculosis- TB (Isoniazid), blood thinner (warfarin), and medicines for heart disease (digoxin).
Drug-Food Interactions: Avoid the use of alcohol while taking Lorapt P 8mg/325mg Tablet.
Drug-Disease Interactions: Patients affected with liver disease, asthma, high blood pressure, heart disease, and bleeding tendency.
