Lofidase 150mg Injection

Lofidase 150mg Injection belongs to a group of medicines called Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) or pain killers used to reduce and relieve pain, and inflammation (swelling) associated with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. Lofidase 150mg Injection may also be indicated in the treatment of pain associated with post-traumatic and post-operative cases.

Lofidase 150mg Injection contains 'Aceclofenac' which works by blocking the effect of a chemical messenger known as cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzyme that makes other chemical prostaglandins. By blocking the effect of COX enzymes, lesser prostaglandins are produced. This helps in reducing mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site.

In some cases, Lofidase 150mg Injection may cause certain common side-effects such as vomiting, dizziness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Lofidase 150mg Injection may cause dizziness, so avoid driving or operating machinery unless you are alert. Lofidase 150mg Injection is not recommended for use during pregnancy, breastfeeding and in children. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Lofidase 150mg Injection as it could lead to increased dizziness. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and medicines to rule out any side effects.

Lofidase 150mg Injection may cause dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Lofidase 150mg Injection is not recommended for use during pregnancy, lactation, and in children. Drug-Drug Interactions: Lofidase 150mg Injection may have interaction with pain killers (aspirin), antimanic agents (lithium), cardiac glycoside (digoxin), anti-rheumatoid agent (methotrexate), immunosuppressants (cyclosporin), diuretics, anti-coagulants, oral anti-diabetic drugs, and other pain killers.

• Get adequate sleep as resting the muscles can help in reducing inflammation and swelling.
• Follow heat or cold therapy, apply a cold or hot compress on the joints for 15-20minutes regularly.
• De-stress yourself by meditating, reading books, taking a warm bubble bath or listening to soothing music.
• Acupuncture, massage and physical therapy may also be helpful.
• Eat food rich in antioxidants such as berries, spinach, kidney beans, dark chocolate, etc.
• Foods containing flavonoids help in reducing inflammation. These include soy, berries, broccoli, grapes and green tea.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.

Osteoarthritis: It is a degenerative joint disease in which the two ends of the joints come together due to the breakdown of a protective covering called cartilage. Due to the absence of this protective covering, the joints rub against each other, leading to pain and stiffness. Symptoms of osteoarthritis include pain, stiffness, inflammation, and tenderness.
