Ketoflex Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called pain killer/Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) used for the treatment of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gouty arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis, acute pain, chronic low back pain, and muscle spasms. It relieves the pain and relaxes the muscles. Pain is a symptom triggered by the nervous system, causing uncomfortable sensations in the body. Muscle spasm is the sudden involuntary contractions of the muscle, which can be painful and uncomfortable.
Ketoflex Tablet is a combination of two drugs: Ketoprofen (NSAID) and Thiocolchicoside (Muscle relaxant). Ketoprofen blocks the effect of a chemical messenger known as cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzyme that makes other chemical prostaglandins (PG). By blocking the effect of chemical messenger ketoprofen helps in reducing mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site. Thiocolchicoside is a muscle relaxant and works on the centres of the spinal cord and brain.
