Irovel 150 Tablet belongs to a group of medicines known as angiotensin II receptor blockers indicated for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) in adults. Additionally, Irovel 150 Tablet is used to reduce the risk of heart attack or stroke in adults. Hypertension is a medical condition in which the blood pressure is elevated persistently in the arteries without any known cause. On the other hand, heart attack or stroke occurs due to blocked blood flow to the heart or brain, respectively.

Irovel 150 Tablet works by blocking the action of a hormone called angiotensin II in the body, which causes the narrowing of blood vessels, leading to high blood pressure. Thereby, Irovel 150 Tablet widens and relaxes blood vessels, lowering high blood pressure.

You can take Irovel 150 Tablet irrespective of food and swallow it whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, chew, or break it. Your doctor will let you how often you should take your tablets based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience nausea, vomiting, fatigue, and orthostatic hypotension. Most of these side effects of Irovel 150 Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist, please consult your doctor.

Irovel 150 Tablet is not for pregnant women as its use during your pregnancy can cause injury and even death to your unborn baby. Do not consume alcohol with Irovel 150 Tablet as it may increase the risk of low blood pressure. Taking Irovel 150 Tablet with painkillers (like aspirin and ibuprofen) can increase the risk of kidney problems and reduce the efficiency of Irovel 150 Tablet .

• Chronic stress may also cause high blood pressure. Therefore, avoid stress by changing your expectations, readjusting your reactions to certain situations, and making time for yourself to do activities that you enjoy.
• Maintain a diet that is rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains and low-fat dairy products.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol intake.
