Harmoni F Tablet belongs to the group of medicines called ‘hormonal drugs’ used in the treatment of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). It is also used in the treatment of severe acne and hirsutism (excessive hair growth in the face and chest) in women. Polycystic ovary syndrome is a condition in which ovaries are affected.
Harmoni F Tablet contains Cyproterene, Ethinylestradiol, and Folic acid. Cyproterone and Ethinyl estradiol are hormones. Cyproterone works by blocking a male hormone named androgen overproduction in the ovaries and reducing symptoms such as unwanted facial hair growth and acne. Ethinylestradiol acts as an enhancer. It enhances the effect of cyproterone by reducing the amount of androgens in the blood. It also regulates the menstrual cycle. Folic acid is a nutritional supplement.
