Gly-D3 Tablet 10's

Gly-D3 Tablet 10's is a vitamin and mineral supplement used to strengthen bones and promote muscle, bone growth and development. Gly-D3 Tablet 10's also eases muscle tension, and cramps and helps muscles to relax. Gly-D3 Tablet 10's is also used to amplify immunity and improve mental health. Osteoarthritis and osteoporosis are diseases of the bone that render the bones weak and brittle. 

Gly-D3 Tablet 10's contains Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) and Magnesium. Gly-D3 Tablet 10's strengthens bones, muscles and joints by helping with the absorption of calcium and facilitating the binding of calcium to bones. Gly-D3 Tablet 10's alleviates joint and muscle pain by relaxing muscles and relieving them of excess contraction. 

Gly-D3 Tablet 10's may be taken with or without food. It should be swallowed as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. Gly-D3 Tablet 10's does not generally cause any side effects. In rare cases, Gly-D3 Tablet 10's may cause side effects such as mild loss of appetite, nausea and fatigue. Most of these adverse effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if these side effects persist. 

It is advisable to inform the doctor if you are allergic to any of its components. Keep your doctor informed if you suffer from kidney problems, diabetes, phenylketonuria, bleeding disorders, high levels of blood potassium and or calcium, or if you have been immobilised for some time. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Talk to your doctor before consuming alcohol with Gly-D3 Tablet 10's.

Gly-D3 Tablet 10's contains Magnesium and Cholecalciferol. It is used primarily to strengthen bones, joints and muscles and also in the treatment of bone disease. Gly-D3 Tablet 10's works by enhancing the calcium and mineral content of bones. Gly-D3 Tablet 10's also helps in improving joint mobility and muscle health. In addition, Gly-D3 Tablet 10's promotes normal functioning and strength of muscle cells, relieving muscles of cramps and spasms. Cholecalciferol is an active form of Vitamin D, which increases the production of carrier proteins responsible for mobilising calcium ions from the gut into the body, replenishing its stores. Cholecalciferol also activates bone-producing cells (osteoblasts) and reduces urinary loss of calcium from the body. Hence, cholecalciferol is vital in maintaining adequate levels of calcium in the body. Magnesium is essential for the production of the active form of Vitamin D and is useful in addressing Vitamin D deficiency and providing the body with energy. Besides, magnesium relieves symptoms of depression, improves mood and enhances the immune system.

Gly-D3 Tablet 10's should not be used in case of any known allergy to either of the components. Gly-D3 Tablet 10's should be used with caution in case of high risk or previous history of kidney disease or hypercalcemia (high blood calcium levels) and/or hypophosphatemia (high blood phosphate levels). Keep your doctor informed if you suffer from any kidney problems, hypercalcemia, diabetes, phenylketonuria, if you have been immobilized for some time, or if you have recently had any surgery. Offer a detailed medical history and inform the doctor especially if you are on steroids, heart medication such as digoxin, epilepsy medications that deplete calcium reserves, tetracycline antibiotics, antimalarial drugs, chelating agents, iron, urine-producing medicines (diuretics), or magnesium-containing antacids. Consult your doctor before using Gly-D3 Tablet 10's during pregnancy or even if you are trying to get pregnant.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Gly-D3 Tablet 10's may interact with fluorides, EDTA, Vitamin D analogues, antiepileptics (phenytoin, carbamazepine), diuretics (bendroflumethiazide, chlortalidone and indapamide), heart medicines (digoxin or digitoxin), antimalarials (quinine, mefloquine, chloroquine), magnesium-containing antacids, iron, antibiotics (nitrofurantoin, nitroxoline), medicine for rheumatoid arthritis (penicillamine), steroids (hydrocortisone, prednisolone, dexamethasone), cholesterol-reducing drugs (cholestyramine), phosphate, tetracycline antibiotics (doxycycline, minocycline), and bisphosphonates (alendronate).

Drug-Disease Interactions: Gly-D3 Tablet 10's should be used with caution in patients with a known hypersensitivity disorder, diabetes mellitus, epilepsy, kidney disease, liver disease, phenylketonuria, hyperphosphatemia and hypercalcaemia.

• Go easy on foods that are high inactive vitamin D such as dairy products like milk and cheese. However, load up on oily fish, egg yolks, spinach, broccoli, salmon, and orange juice. 

• Have magnesium-rich foods such as dry fruits, nuts, bananas beans and whole grains. 

• Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.

• Doing weight-bearing exercises such as brisk walking, jogging, tennis, or even dance can be very useful in promoting overall bone health. However, do not over-exert yourself if you feel too tired or suffer from severely brittle bones. 

• Muscle training activities such as yoga and Pilates can also be very helpful.

• Spend time under the sun (however, with proper sunscreen) for quality intake of Vitamin D.

• Limit alcohol and caffeine consumption and stop smoking as these may have a negative effect on bone health. Smokers tend to have lower bone density than non-smokers.

• Avoid dairy products such as milk and cheese with Gly-D3 Tablet 10's as they also contain Vitamin D and there may be an interaction.

•  In case you miss a dose of Gly-D3 Tablet 10's, try to take it as soon as possible but if it is time for the second dose, continue with the second dose directly. Do not ever take a double dose.

• If you accidentally take extra doses of Gly-D3 Tablet 10's, please inform your doctor or go to a hospital immediately. Some of the common symptoms of an overdose can be poor sleep, feeling sick, dizziness, mood changes, loss of appetite, shortness of breath and headache.

•  Do not discontinue taking Gly-D3 Tablet 10's abruptly or without the advice of the physician.

Muscle Pain: Muscle pain can be a symptom of an underlying disease or a disorder by itself. It is defined as ache and soreness of the muscles that result in body pain. Causes of muscular pain can range from sprains and fractures to chronic fatigue, stress and exercise. 

Osteoarthritis: Osteoarthritis is the most common type of arthritis. It occurs due to the breakdown of cartilage that cushions and protects the bones. The disease progresses gradually and tends to worsen if not treated. Symptoms include joint pain in the hips, lower back, knees and hands. It is commonly seen in post-menopausal women. 

Osteoporosis: Osteoporosis is a state in which the bones become weak and brittle. It is often brought about by disease and age (menopausal osteoporosis). In osteoporosis, the activity of bone-destroying cells surpasses the activity of bone-forming cells. Most people do not suffer from any symptoms until there’s a fracture and bones literally start to break. 

Post-Menopausal Osteopenia: Osteopenia means a loss in bone density. Post-menopausal osteopenia is weakened bones related to age and menopausal changes in women. Osteopenia is a notch milder than full-blown osteoporosis. Symptoms include joint pain, especially around the knees, weakness, lethargy and stiff movements. A lot of women over 50 suffer from this condition. Other symptoms of menopause include mood changes and hot flashes.
