Gladvas Trio-10 Capsule belongs to a group of antihyperlipidemic and antiplatelets used to treat heart attack, myocardial infarction (blockage of the blood to muscles of the heart), angina (chest pain), and stroke. A heart attack happens when the blood flow to the heart is blocked. The blockage is most often a build-up of cholesterol, fat, and other substances, which form a plaque (semi-hard accumulation of substance from fluid) in the arteries that supply to the heart. Sometimes, a plaque can burst, forming a clot that blocks blood flow. Symptoms of a heart attack include chest pain, tightness in the chest, and pain in the neck, arm, or back.

Gladvas Trio-10 Capsule is a fixed-dose combination composed of three medicines: Rosuvastatin, Clopidogrel, and Aspirin. Rosuvastatin belongs to a group of drugs known as antihyperlipidemic. Rosuvastatin lowers the level of lipids. It blocks the ability of the body to produce bad cholesterol and improves the ability of the body to make good cholesterol. Clopidogrel and aspirin both belong to a group of drugs known as Antiplatelet. They work by preventing the blood from sticking together and decreasing the production of clots which is harmful to the body. Altogether Gladvas Trio-10 Capsule help to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke and heart-related chest pain (angina).

Gladvas Trio-10 Capsule is available in the form of oral capsules. It usually takes one time a day with water or as prescribed by your doctor. Doses of the Gladvas Trio-10 Capsule will decide by your doctor. It should be taken after eating food (low lipid food). In some cases, Gladvas Trio-10 Capsule can cause side effects like Headache, Muscle pain, increased bleeding, stomach pain, Indigestion, Bruise (discolouration of the skin), bleeding in the nose, Weakness, Gastrointestinal bleeding, Diarrhea, and Nausea. Most of these side effects of Gladvas Trio-10 Capsule do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. But if bleeding persists longer, please consult your doctor.

If you are known to be allergic to Gladvas Trio-10 Capsule or any other medicines, please inform your doctor. Before taking Gladvas Trio-10 Capsule , let your doctor know if you have asthma, liver problems, kidney problems, ulcer, pregnancy, and breastfeeding. Please do not stop taking Gladvas Trio-10 Capsule on your own, as it may lead to the recurrence of symptoms or worsen the condition.

Let your doctor know if are sensitive to rosuvastatin, clopidogrel or aspirin, have any active liver disease, active bleeding issues (like peptic ulcer, brain haemorrhage), pregnant or planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding. The patient should inform the doctor that they are taking Gladvas Trio-10 Capsule before any surgery is scheduled or any new medicine is taken. Patients with active liver disease should use Gladvas Trio-10 Capsule with caution. Safety and effectiveness of Gladvas Trio-10 Capsule have not been established, so its use should be avoided in pediatric patients or children less than 16 years of age. Discontinuation of Gladvas Trio-10 Capsule may lead to the occurrence of cardiovascular events like heart attack, stroke and angina (heart-related chest pain). Hence, you should consult a doctor before stopping the dose of Gladvas Trio-10 Capsule . Gladvas Trio-10 Capsule may reduce alertness, affect your vision, or make you feel dizzy and sleepy. If these symptoms occur, do not drive.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Care should be exercised when Gladvas Trio-10 Capsule is administered in combination with anti-HIV drugs (ritonavir, lopinavir, darunavir, atazanavir, indinavir) and antifungal (itraconazole), blood thinners (warfarin, heparin), anti-arthritis drug (colchicine), heart-related medicine (digoxin), and immune system affecting drug (cyclosporine).

Drug-Food Interactions: Alcoholic beverages and grapefruit or its juice intake should be avoided with Gladvas Trio-10 Capsule as it may interact with Gladvas Trio-10 Capsule to produce unpleasant side effects like muscle problems and bleeding disorder.

Drug-Disease Interactions: Gladvas Trio-10 Capsule should not be given to the patients with ulcers, erectile dysfunction (inability to get an enlarged penis), liver disease, kidney problems, purpura (blood leakage under the skin), and muscle problems or musculoskeletal problems (fibromyalgia).

• Follow a cholesterol-lowering diet.

• Consume low salt and a low-fat diet.

• Exercise regularly. It helps in maintaining proper weight and lowers cholesterol.

• Limit salt and sugar intake.

• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.

• Choose healthy fats and cut down on trans fat.

• Include omega-3 fatty acids, fibre-rich food, fruits, and vegetables.

• Get active by doing physical activities such as swimming, brisk walking, or jogging. Take the stairs instead of elevators/lifts.
