Fluskin Plus Ointment belongs to the class 'Topical antibacterial and corticosteroids', which are primarily used in the treatment of skin infections. A skin infection can be caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses or parasites. Symptoms include itching, inflamed skin (swollen, hot, red), blistered skin, pus formation fever, and feeling unwell and tired.

Fluskin Plus Ointment is a combination of fluticasone and mupirocin. Fluticasone is a steroid medicine. It works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Mupirocin is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by destroying the bacterial cell membrane. Fluskin Plus Ointment together improves the skin condition effectively.

Fluskin Plus Ointment should be used as recommended by your doctor. Fluskin Plus Ointment is available in the ointment. Fluskin Plus Ointment may cause common side effects like burning, irritation, itching and redness. Not everybody will get these side effects. If you feel any discomfort while taking Fluskin Plus Ointment please consult your doctor.

Fluskin Plus Ointment is for external use only. Inform your doctor if you are a pregnant/breastfeeding mother before using Fluskin Plus Ointment. Wash your hands before and after applying Fluskin Plus Ointment. Clean and dry the skin area to be treated. Applying an excessive amount may result in pilling. Use a thinner layer or a lesser quantity of medicine to avoid pilling. Avoid getting this medication in your eyes or nose, or mouth. Fluskin Plus Ointment is not recommended for infections like rosacea, acne vulgaris, perioral dermatitis, pruritus without inflammation, and perianal and genital pruritus. Fluskin Plus Ointment is not recommended for infections like primary cutaneous viral, fungal, yeast and bacterial infections and infants under 3 months of age, including dermatitis and nappy rash. Do not mix this Fluskin Plus Ointment with any other external ointment medicines on the infected area of your skin, as this may reduce the effectiveness of this ointment.
