About Flumet Plus Tablet

Flumet Plus Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat fungal infections and parasitic infections caused by certain parasites, such as head lice, scabies, and certain types of worms. Flumet Plus Tablet works by inhibiting fungal growth and multiplication and paralyzing and killing parasites.

Flumet Plus Tablet combines Fluconazole (antifungal) and Ivermectin (anthelmintics). Fluconazole kills fungi by causing holes in their cell membranes, allowing the contents to flow out. This treats the infection and allows your symptoms to subside. Ivermectin paralyzes and destroys the parasite or prevents adult parasites from creating larvae for a while. Thus, it effectively treats parasitic infections.

Take Flumet Plus Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Flumet Plus Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience nausea, vomiting, rash, oedema, headache, dizziness, asthenia (weakness), diarrhoea, stomach pain and altered food tastes. Most of these side effects of Flumet Plus Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects worsen or persist, please consult your doctor.

It is recommended not to use Flumet Plus Tablet if you are allergic to any ingredients in this formulation. Do not use Flumet Plus Tablet unless prescribed by the doctor, especially if you are a pregnant or nursing mother. You are recommended to complete the entire course of Flumet Plus Tablet as your doctor prescribes for effective results. Flumet Plus Tablet may cause drowsiness, or weakness at some times. Therefore, avoid driving if you experience any of these symptoms after taking Flumet Plus Tablet .

Uses of Flumet Plus Tablet

Treatment of Fungal and Parasitic Infections

Medicinal Benefits

Flumet Plus Tablet combines two drugs: fluconazole (antifungal) and ivermectin (anthelmintics). It is used to treat fungal infections and parasitic infections caused by certain parasites, such as head lice, scabies, and certain types of worms. Fluconazole kills or inhibits fungi and yeast by blocking an enzyme in fungi responsible for proper fat metabolism, resulting in the production of the fungal cell membrane. As a result, fungal or yeast cells are killed, or their growth is inhibited. Ivermectin paralyzes and kills the parasite or temporarily prevents adult parasites from producing larvae. Thus, it is helpful in treating parasite infections.
