Flucozox 0.5% Gel belongs to the class of medicines called 'antifungals' used to treat fungal skin infections. Fungal infection occurs when a fungus invades and affects the tissue on the skin. Symptoms of a fungal infection include skin rash, irritation, redness and scaling of the skin.
Flucozox 0.5% Gel contains 'Fluconazole' that kills or prevents fungi or yeast by inhibiting an enzyme in fungi responsible for its normal fat metabolism; this interferes with the formation of the fungal cell membrane. As a result, fungal or yeast cells get killed or their growth is minimized.
Flucozox 0.5% Gel is for external use only. Use Flucozox 0.5% Gel as prescribed by your doctor. Flucozox 0.5% Gel may cause common side effects like itching, dryness, redness, and burning sensation at the application site. These side effects are not familiar to everyone and vary individually. If you notice any side effects that are not manageable, please consult your doctor.

Flucozox 0.5% Gel contains Fluconazole, which works by killing the fungus/yeast and preventing its growth by inhibiting the fungal cell membrane formation. It is used to treat fungal skin infections, such as athlete's foot, jock itch, and ringworm infections. It is also useful in treating vaginal yeast infections.
Let your doctor know if you are allergic to any of the components in Flucozox 0.5% Gel. Avoid contact of Flucozox 0.5% Gel with nose, mouth or eyes as it may cause irritation. In case Flucozox 0.5% Gel comes in contact with these areas accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly. If you are pregnant, planning for pregnancy or breastfeeding, please consult a doctor before using Flucozox 0.5% Gel. Avoid applying Flucozox 0.5% Gel on sunburns, lesions, blisters and open wounds.

Drug-Food Interaction: There are no studies indicating food interactions with Flucozox 0.5% Gel.

Always wear loose-fitting clothes to avoid further sweat and the spread of the fungal infection.
Do not scratch the affected area of the skin as it can spread the infection to other body parts.
Avoid frequent douching to maintain the natural moisture in the vagina.
Use mild soap while taking baths and prefer warm baths.
Avoid harsh products on your skin.
Manage stress, eat healthily, drink plenty of water, exercise regularly, and get plenty of sleep.
Avoid or limit the intake of alcohol and caffeine.
It is advised to take non-starchy vegetables and gluten-free foods.

Symptoms include skin irritation, scaly skin, redness, itching, scaly or flaky patches, and swelling.
