About Ferronemia Tablet

Ferronemia Tablet is used to treat iron deficiency and iron deficiency anaemia in pregnant women. Iron deficiency anaemia is a condition in which the body does not have enough healthy red blood cells due to insufficient iron.

Ferronemia Tablet contains Disodium guanosine-5-monophosphate and Lactoferrin. Ferronemia Tablet works by reducing the levels of hepcidin (iron-regulating hormone). Thereby, it increases iron absorption and thus refills iron stores.

Take Ferronemia Tablet as advised by the doctor. In some cases, you may experience nausea, loss of appetite, constipation and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects of Ferronemia Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor. 

If you are allergic to Ferronemia Tablet or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Ferronemia Tablet is not recommended for children unless advised by a doctor. Ferronemia Tablet is used to treat iron deficiency and iron deficiency anaemia in pregnant women. It reduces the levels of hepcidin (iron-regulating hormone). Thereby, it increases iron absorption and thus refills iron stores. Also, it is used in the treatment of diarrhoea, stomach and intestinal ulcers, and hepatitis C. Lactoferrin helps to protect against viral and bacterial infections. Additionally, it may stimulate cells responsible for bone growth.

Directions for Use

Drug-Drug Interaction: Ferronemia Tablet may have interaction with anticonvulsants (phenytoin), anticancer drug (cisplatin, altretamine), immunosuppressant (methotrexate) and antibiotics (chloramphenicol).

Drug-Disease Interaction: If you have phenylketonuria (a birth defect that causes accumulation of phenylalanine, an amino acid in the body), gastrointestinal toxicity, kidney or liver problems, inform your doctor before taking Ferronemia Tablet .
