Fentia Softgel Vaginal Capsule is used to treat a broad range of infections caused by fungi and yeast. It is used to treat various fungal or yeast infections, such as vulvovaginal candidiasis. Vulvovaginal candidiasis is a fungal infection of the vagina and tissues at the opening of the vagina vulva. Symptoms may include irritation, discharge and intense itchiness of the vagina and the vulva tissues at the vaginal opening.

Fentia Softgel Vaginal Capsule contains Fenticonazole, an antifungal that kills fungi by causing holes in their cell membranes. Thus, Fentia Softgel Vaginal Capsule can inhibit fungal growth and reduce infection. It is active against a range of organisms, including dermatophyte pathogens, Malassezia furfur, and Candida albicans.

Fentia Softgel Vaginal Capsule should be used as advised by your doctor has advised. It should be taken at the dose recommended by your doctor. Fentia Softgel Vaginal Capsule may cause common side effects like application site reactions such as burning, irritation, itching, and redness. The side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, if these side effects persist, please consult your doctor immediately.

Fentia Softgel Vaginal Capsule should be avoided, and inform your doctor if you are allergic to it. Tell your doctor if you are using medicines other than the Fentia Softgel Vaginal Capsule. Do not start treatment with Fentia Softgel Vaginal Capsule during menstruation as the Fentia Softgel Vaginal Capsule will be washed off with blood flow. The treatment should be finished before the onset of menstruation. Do not use tampons, vaginal douches, spermicide or other vaginal products while using Fentia Softgel Vaginal Capsule. This medicine may damage the latex of condoms and diaphragms; hence these types of contraception are also not effective during treatment with Fentia Softgel Vaginal Capsule. Hence, alternative methods of contraception or abstinence from sexual intercourse are recommended.

Vaginal fungal infection (vaginal candidiasis): It is a fungal infection of the vagina and tissues at the opening of the vagina vulva. The vagina naturally contains a balanced mix of yeast, including candida, and also bacteria. Certain bacteria, like lactobacillus, act to prevent an overgrowth of yeast.
