Epidosin 8 Injection 1 ml contains ‘Valethamate bromide’, an anticholinergic drug that works by blocking the effect of acetylcholine (constricts muscle). It dilates the smooth muscles present in the intestine and cervix. Thus, it treats spasms.
Epidosin 8 Injection 1 ml is a parenteral medicine. It will be administered by a healthcare professional; hence do not self-administer. You may experience certain side effects such as headache, stomach upset, blurred vision, constipation, difficulty swallowing, injection site reactions and irregular heart rate. These side effects usually disappear without any medical attention. However, if any of these side effects persist, talk to your doctor.

Drug-disease interactions: Epidosin 8 Injection 1 ml should be used with caution in patients with severe liver and kidney failure, narrow-angle glaucoma (increased pressure inside the eye), enlarged prostate gland, inflammatory conditions of the gastrointestinal system (gut), blockage in the small intestine (pyloric stenosis), and tachyarrhythmia (rapid heart rate).
Regular exercise aids in muscular stretching, making them less prone to spasms, tears, and sprains. Mild workouts like jogging and walking might aid with muscular stretching.
Massages can also be helpful.
Avoid freezing and hot temperatures. Also, try to avoid wearing tight-fitting clothes; instead, wear loose garments.
Rest and sleep well. Always, stay hydrated and drink plenty of water.
To avoid developing pressure sores, change your position at least every two hours.
Hot or cold therapy can help treat muscle spasms. Apply an ice or hot pack on the muscle for 15-20 minutes.
