Dutamax Lotion is used to treat male pattern hair loss (androgenetic alopecia). Alopecia is the thinning or loss of hair on the scalp or any body part. Androgenetic alopecia is the permanent hair loss from the scalp that causes baldness.

Dutamax Lotion contains Dutasteride, which works by decreasing dihydrotestosterone (a hormone that can cause hair loss) levels and thus helps to prevent or slow down hair loss.

Use Dutamax Lotion as advised by your doctor. Sometimes, Dutamax Lotion may cause itching or irritation at the application site. Dutamax Lotion belongs to the class of medicines called 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors. It contains Dutasteride, which is used to treat male pattern hair loss (androgenetic alopecia). Dutasteride blocks the action of the 5-alpha-reductase enzyme in the body that converts testosterone (male hormone) into dihydrotestosterone, a hormone that causes hair loss. Thereby, it reduces dihydrotestosterone levels and slows down or prevents hair loss. Also, it improves hair growth.
