Cotq AC 10 Capsule is primarily used to prevent heart attack and stroke, especially in patients after bypass heart surgery. A heart attack occurs when a blood clot blocks the blood flow to the heart. This blockage of arteries is often an accumulation of fat, cholesterol and other substances, which form a plaque in the arteries that feed the heart (coronary arteries).
Cotq AC 10 Capsule is composed of three medicines: Aspirin, clopidogrel, and rosuvastatin. Aspirin and clopidogrel together act as a blood-thinning agent (or anti-platelet agent) to prevent heart attack and stroke. They help to prevent blood clots by preventing the clubbing of platelets together. Rosuvastatin belongs to the class of drugs known as a cholesterol-lowering agent, which works by blocking liver enzymes and causing the liver to produce less cholesterol. Rosuvastatin lowers the bad cholesterol (low-density lipoprotein or LDL) levels and increases good cholesterol levels (high-density lipoprotein or HDL) in the bloodstream. Thus, Cotq AC 10 Capsule helps in the free flow of blood without forming any clog in the blood vessel's arteries, thereby preventing a heart attack, stroke and other peripheral vascular diseases.
Take Cotq AC 10 Capsule as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Cotq AC 10 Capsule for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. You may experience increased bleeding tendency, indigestion, abdominal pain, nosebleeds, weakness, muscle pain, headache, diarrhoea, gastrointestinal bleeding and nausea. Most of these side effects of Cotq AC 10 Capsule do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
Do not stop taking this medicine of your own. Stopping Cotq AC 10 Capsule may worsen your condition and increase the risk of a future heart attack. Let your doctor know if you are allergic to Cotq AC 10 Capsule or any ingredients of Cotq AC 10 Capsule . Cotq AC 10 Capsule should not be taken in conditions like kidney/liver diseases, asthma, active bleeding issues (like peptic ulcer, brain haemorrhage), gastrointestinal disorders, diabetes and musculoskeletal disorders. If you are pregnant, planning to conceive or breastfeeding, it is essential to seek medical advice before starting Cotq AC 10 Capsule . Do not drive or operate machinery if you experience dizziness or drowsiness while using Cotq AC 10 Capsule . Cotq AC 10 Capsule is not recommended for children below the age of 16 years.
Cotq AC 10 Capsule is used to prevent myocardial infarction (heart attack), stroke or peripheral vascular disease. It also lowers abnormally elevated cholesterol or fat levels (dyslipidemia) in the body. Cotq AC 10 Capsule is composed of three medicines: Aspirin, clopidogrel, and rosuvastatin. Aspirin is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) and anti-platelet drug that decreases blood clot formation by preventing the platelets from clubbing together. It is also used in heart-related revascularization procedures (provision of new blood supply to a body part), such as coronary artery bypass graft, to improve the blood flow through the revascularized area. Clopidogrel acts by preventing blood clots if you have severe chest pain (unstable angina or heart attack), stroke and peripheral arterial disease (heart problem due to narrow veins). Rosuvastatin is an antilipemic agent (cholesterol-lowering). It works by blocking liver enzymes, causing the liver to make less cholesterol. It also lowers the bad cholesterol (low-density lipoprotein or LDL) levels and increases good cholesterol levels (high-density lipoprotein or HDL) in the blood. Rosuvastatin reduces the risk of coronary events, such as heart attack, stroke and angina (chest pain).
Before taking Cotq AC 10 Capsule , let your doctor know if you have a history of liver and kidney diseases or allergic reactions to Cotq AC 10 Capsule . If you are at risk of internal bleeding (bleeding inside any tissues, organs, or joints of your body), a recent injury/surgery or a planned surgery (including dental) in the next few days, blood clotting disorder and active bleeding issues (like peptic ulcer, brain haemorrhage), please inform your doctor before starting Cotq AC 10 Capsule . It is important to tell your doctor if you have any kidney/liver diseases, asthma, gastrointestinal disorders, diabetes, musculoskeletal disorders or mental illnesses like memory loss, forgetfulness, amnesia, memory impairment and confusion before using Cotq AC 10 Capsule . Cotq AC 10 Capsule may have harmful effects on the baby when a pregnant mother uses it. Also, salicylates in Aspirin of Cotq AC 10 Capsule can pass into the breast milk and cause rashes and bleeding issues in infants. If you are pregnant, planning to conceive, or breastfeeding, it is essential to seek medical advice before starting Cotq AC 10 Capsule . Avoid using other over-the-counter medications, such as herbal or vitamin supplements, without medical advice.
