CORTI SPRAY belongs to the class of medicines called corticosteroids. It is used to relieve symptoms of seasonal or year-round allergic rhinitis/hay fever. It treats allergy symptoms, such as runny nose, sneezing, itchy eyes, nose, and throat. Allergic rhinitis is inflammation and allergy of the nose caused by an allergen, such as pollen, dust, mold, or skin flakes from certain animals.
CORTI SPRAY contains 'Triamcinolone' that works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers involved in allergic and non-allergic-mediated inflammation. Thereby, it helps treat inflammatory diseases. It relieves nasal and sinus congestion, mucus production, and nasal swelling caused by allergic rhinitis.
Use CORTI SPRAY as directed by your physician. Your doctor will decide the dose of this medicine based on your medical condition. The common side effects of CORTI SPRAY include nose/throat dryness, coughing, sneezing, nosebleeds, and unpleasant taste and smell. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, please consult your doctor.
If you are allergic to CORTI SPRAY, you should avoid it. Before taking CORTI SPRAY, tell your doctor if you have any heart, liver, or renal illness, glaucoma, cataracts, TB, or nose difficulties. If you are pregnant or nursing, consult your doctor before using CORTI SPRAY. CORTI SPRAY is not suggested for children under the age of two. If you have been prescribed large dosages of CORTI SPRAY to treat your symptoms, you may need to carry a steroid emergency card.
CORTI SPRAY alleviates allergy symptoms in seasonal allergies and allergic rhinitis. It contains 'Triamcinolone,' which acts by inhibiting the release of particular chemical messengers involved in allergy and non-allergic-mediated inflammation and so aids in the treatment of inflammatory conditions. It improves nose and sinus congestion, mucus production, and nasal oedema caused by allergic rhinitis. It also makes the nasal passages less susceptible to allergens such as pollen, animal dander, and dust mites.
Please inform your doctor if you are allergic to CORTI SPRAY and if you are using any other medicines, including vitamin and herbal supplements. Let your doctor know if you have a recent history of heart, liver or kidney diseases, glaucoma, cataracts, nasal surgery, and chronic nasal inflammation before using it. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should use it with proper consultation and caution. It can be used in children above two years of age with a doctor's advice.
Drug-Drug Interactions: Inform your doctor if you are taking antihypertensive drugs (metoprolol), non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (ibuprofen, aspirin), or other corticosteroid medicines.
Drug-Food Interactions: No interactions found/established.
Drug-Disease Interactions: Use CORTI SPRAY with caution and under a doctor's supervision if you have/had a history of heart, liver or kidney diseases, glaucoma, cataracts, nasal surgery, and chronic nasal inflammation.
If you do not notice any improvement in your condition after using CORTI SPRAY for 5-7 days, please reach out to your doctor.
Allergic rhinitis: It occurs when you breathe in an allergen which triggers an allergic reaction. It can be seasonal or perennial. Seasonal allergic rhinitis, commonly called hay fever, mostly occurs in the summer, spring or early fall. It is usually triggered by fungus spores in the air or pollen from specific plants such as trees, flowers, weeds, or grasses. Perennial allergic rhinitis affects you throughout the year and can be triggered by mould, cockroach or dust mite droppings, pet dander and saliva.
Nonallergic rhinitis: It may be triggered by infections such as cold viruses, foreign material in the nose, certain foods and odours, hormonal changes, stress, certain medications, weather changes, smoke, fumes and other air pollutants.
