Complamina Retard 500 Tablet is used to improve peripheral vascular diseases and cerebrovascular disorders. Peripheral vascular disease is a blood circulation disorder that occurs when narrowed blood vessels cause decreased blood flow to the limbs.  Cerebrovascular disorder is a group of conditions that affect the blood vessels and blood supply to the brain.

Complamina Retard 500 Tablet consists of Xantinol Nicotinate, which belongs to the class of peripheral vasodilators. It dilates (widens) blood vessels and increases blood flow. This process further improves peripheral and cerebral blood circulation.

Take this medicine as prescribed by the doctor. In some cases, Complamina Retard 500 Tablet can cause side effects like headache, flushing (feeling warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk), dizziness, palpitations (irregular heartbeat), stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, dry skin, skin rash, excess thirst, and breathlessness. Most of these side effects of Complamina Retard 500 Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if these side effects persist longer, please consult your doctor.

Drug-Food Interaction: Follow your doctor's advice on the foods and drinks that can be consumed.

Drug-Disease Interaction: People with allergic reactions, bleeding disorders, low blood pressure, kidney or liver problems, diabetes, mitral stenosis, and heart failure/problems should consult the doctor before taking Complamina Retard 500 Tablet .

• Reduce sodium intake in your diet to maintain your blood pressure.

• Eat natural and healthy foods by cutting down on high on sodium processed foods.

• Exercise regularly to maintain good heart health.

• Avoid smoking and alcohol intake.

• Chronic stress may also cause high blood pressure. Therefore, avoid stress triggers and make time for yourself to relax and do activities that you enjoy.

• Try to include heart-healthy omega 3 fatty acids containing food drinks in your daily diet. You can also use low-fat cooking oil like olive oil, soybean oil, canola oil, and coconut oil.

• Limit sodium chloride intake (table salt) in your daily diet to 2300 mg per day or less than 1500 mg is ideal for most adults.

• Keep a check on your daily blood pressure, and if you notice any fluctuations, please consult a doctor.

• Your dietician may prescribe you a suitable exercise program and diet to manage your blood pressure.
