Colitac 10mg/150mg Tablet is a combination drug primarily used to reduce and relieve abdominal pain and cramps. Abdominal (tummy) pain occurs between your chest and pelvic region (below the belly button and leg). Stomach cramps can be due to bloating (trapped wind), diarrhoea, kidney stones, stomach ulcer, appendicitis, or other gastrointestinal conditions like inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

Colitac 10mg/150mg Tablet contains dicyclomine and Ranitidine. Dicyclomine is an antispasmodic and helps treat spasms and pain by relaxing the muscles. It also blocks certain chemical messengers in the brain, which causes pain sensation. Ranitidine works by blocking histamine H2 receptors located on the stomach lining, thereby reducing gastric acid secretion. Together, Colitac 10mg/150mg Tablet helps in relieving abdominal pain and cramps.

Colitac 10mg/150mg Tablet should be taken with food to avoid an upset stomach. Colitac 10mg/150mg Tablet should be taken at the same time of the day each time for the best results. Drug-Drug Interactions: Colitac 10mg/150mg Tablet is contraindicated when taken with a medication used to treat Parkinson's disease (e.g., amantadine), a medication used to treat abnormal heart rhythms (e.g., quinidine), anti-fungal medicines (ketoconazole, itraconazole), a medication used to treat active duodenal ulcers (sucralfate), a medication used to treat insomnia (triazolam), and a medication used to treat lung cancer (gefitinib).

Drug-Food Interactions: Alcohol should not be taken along with Colitac 10mg/150mg Tablet to avoid unpleasant side effects.
