About Colicaid EZ Drops

Colicaid EZ Drops is used to treat digestive disorders. It effectively treats dyspepsia (indigestion), diarrhoea, and colic pain in infants due to indigestion and poor appetite, flatulence (gas), and abdominal distention (bloating and swelling in the stomach area). Indigestion is the inability to digest food, which is associated with pain and discomfort in the stomach.

Colicaid EZ Drops contains Diastase, Pepsin, and Simethicone. Diastase is a starch hydrolysing enzyme that breaks down the starch into simple sugars for easy digestion of starch, carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. Pepsin is a proteolytic enzyme (protein-digesting) that breaks down larger protein molecules into smaller peptides (a short chain of amino acids). Simethicone lowers the surface tension of gas bubbles, thereby facilitating gas expulsion through flatus or belching (burping). It also prevents the accumulation and formation of gas in the digestive tract.

Use Colicaid EZ Drops in the dose and duration suggested by your doctor. Colicaid EZ Drops is generally safe to use. However, some may experience side effects like chills, constipation, dry mouth, nausea and vomiting. Although not everyone experiences these side effects, please seek medical attention if they occur persistently.

If you or your child have a history of inflammation/swelling of the pancreas (acute pancreatitis), let your doctor know about it. Intake of probiotics, prebiotics, and plenty of fluids is recommended if you suffer from indigestion. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should use Colicaid EZ Drops with proper consultation and caution. Colicaid EZ Drops is recommended for children when the doctor has advised it.

Uses of Colicaid EZ Drops

Treatment of Dyspepsia, flatulence, colic pain, chronic diarrhoea, and abdominal distention

Medicinal Benefits

Colicaid EZ Drops helps relieve digestive disorders and contains Diastase, Pepsin, and Simethicone. Diastase is a starch hydrolysing or amylolytic enzyme that breaks down starch into simple sugars (maltose) to digest starch, carbohydrates, fats, and proteins easily. It is used to aid digestion in chronic illness, stomach fullness, and indigestion. Thus, Colicaid EZ Drops promotes the digestion of carbohydrates and proteins and helps absorb the essential nutrients in the intestine.
