CO Mupimet Liquid is primarily used to treat bacterial skin infections, impetigo, rosacea, and bacterial vaginal infection (bacterial vaginosis). Bacterial infection occurs when harmful bacteria invade and affect the tissues of the skin. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly. Impetigo is a contagious (spread by contact) infection that causes red sores on the face. Rosacea is a skin disease that causes redness, flushing, and pimples on the face.

CO Mupimet Liquid is composed of two antibiotics: Mupirocin and Metronidazole. Mupirocin is an antibacterial drug. It prevents the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out its vital functions, thus preventing bacterial growth. Metronidazole belongs to the class of drugs called nitroimidazole antimicrobials. It exerts bactericidal (kills bacteria) action and inhibits bacterial DNA synthesis and cell growth.

Use CO Mupimet Liquid as suggested by the doctor. CO Mupimet Liquid is for external use only. Your doctor will advise the appropriate dose that suits your infection. Common side effects of CO Mupimet Liquid include itching, burning sensation, irritation and redness at the application site. These side effects of CO Mupimet Liquid do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. If the side effects persist longer, please consult your doctor.

Let your doctor know if you have any allergic reactions before using CO Mupimet Liquid. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult the doctor before starting CO Mupimet Liquid. Limit alcohol consumption while using CO Mupimet Liquid to manage your disease condition effectively. No information is available for the use of CO Mupimet Liquid in children. Hence it should be used only if prescribed by the paediatrician.

CO Mupimet Liquid treats various bacterial skin infections, impetigo, rosacea, and bacterial vaginal infection. It consists of Mupirocin and Metronidazole. CO Mupimet Liquid is for external use only. Avoid contact of CO Mupimet Liquid with eyes, nose, and mouth. Rinse it off with water thoroughly if you get the medicine accidentally in these areas. Avoid applying CO Mupimet Liquid on sunburns, lesions, blisters, and open wounds. Cover the affected areas with a dressing or bandage only if the doctor advised you to do so. CO Mupimet Liquid is not recommended for use in diaper rash, which is often caused due to fungus. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should use CO Mupimet Liquid only with proper doctor consultation and caution. Do not store CO Mupimet Liquid above 25°C.

• Use mild soap while taking baths and prefer warm baths.

• Always wear loose-fitting clothes to avoid further sweat and spread of the skin infection.

• Regularly change your socks and wash your feet. Avoid shoes that make your feet sweaty and hot.

• Do not walk barefoot at places like gym showers to prevent infections.

• Do not scratch the affected area of skin as it can spread the infection to other body parts.

• Avoid sharing towels, combs, bedsheets, shoes or socks with others.

• Wash your bed sheets and towels regularly.

• Avoid or limit the intake of alcohol and caffeine.

• Manage stress, eat healthily, drink plenty of water, exercise regularly and get plenty of sleep.
