Cinact D 15mg/20mg Tablet is a combination of anti-histamine and anti-emetic drugs, primarily used to treat Meniere's disease (inner ear disorder), which can cause vertigo (a spinning sensation or dizziness), ringing in the ears, nausea (feeling sick), vomiting, and loss of hearing. Meniere's disease occurs when the inner ear is affected and causes episodes of vertigo (spinning). It also leads to hearing problems and a ringing sound in the ear.
Cinact D 15mg/20mg Tablet consists of 'Cinnarizine' (anti-histamine) and 'Domperidone' (anti-emetic). Cinnarizine is an anti-histamine drug that blocks the effects of histamine (a chemical substance produced in response to allergy) in the brain to reduce the symptoms of travel sickness. It is also a calcium channel blocker and improves blood circulation in the inner ear, thus reducing symptoms caused by vertigo, tinnitus (ringing in the ear), and Meniere's disease. Domperidone is an anti-emetic drug (that eases vomiting symptoms) and dopamine (chemical messenger) antagonist. It works by blocking the action of dopamine in the brain, which causes nausea and vomiting. It also increases the movements and contractions of stomach muscles. Domperidone is also a prokinetic agent that controls acid reflux.
