CEFI XL D 200MG TABLET combines two antibiotics (Cefixime, Dicloxacillin) and one probiotic (Lactobacillus).  Cefixime and Dicloxacillin work by interfering with forming the bacterial cell wall (a protective covering) necessary for their survival. Thereby, damaging the bacterial cell wall and kills bacteria. Take CEFI XL D 200MG TABLET as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take CEFI XL D 200MG TABLET for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience vomiting, nausea, dizziness, diarrhea, stomach pain, indigestion, gas, headache, or vaginal itching. Most of these side effects of CEFI XL D 200MG TABLET do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to CEFI XL D 200MG TABLET, penicillin, or other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please inform your doctor before taking CEFI XL D 200MG TABLET. Dicloxacillin may reduce the effectiveness of birth control pills. Therefore, discuss other contraceptive methods with your doctor, such as using non-hormonal birth control measures that include condoms, spermicide, or diaphragm to avoid pregnancy while taking CEFI XL D 200MG TABLET. Drive only if you are alert as CEFI XL D 200MG TABLET may decrease alertness, and cause confusion, unusual muscle movements, or stiffness. You are recommended to complete the full course of CEFI XL D 200MG TABLET prescribed by your doctor for effective results.

Drug-Drug Interaction: CEFI XL D 200MG TABLET may interact with a blood thinner (warfarin), water tablet (furosemide), antibiotic (azithromycin), steroids (dexamethasone, methylprednisolone, prednisone), and immunosuppressants (tacrolimus, ciclosporin).

Certain fermented foods like cheese, yogurt, kombucha, sauerkraut, and kimchi can help restore the intestine's good bacteria.
• Include fiber-rich foods, as they can be easily digested by your gut bacteria, which helps stimulate their growth. Thus, fiber-rich foods may help restore healthy gut bacteria after a course of antibiotics. Whole grains such as whole-grain bread and brown rice should be included in your diet.
• Make sure you drink plenty of water or other fluids every day while you are taking CEFI XL D 200MG TABLET.
• Avoid alcohol consumption as it may increase adverse effects.
