About CEFI XL D 200MG TABLET

CEFI XL D 200MG TABLET belongs to a class of drugs called antibiotics used to treat several bacterial infections of the urinary tract, ears, nose, throat, chest, and lungs. Bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause infection. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly. CEFI XL D 200MG TABLET does not work against infections caused by the virus.

CEFI XL D 200MG TABLET combines two antibiotics (Cefixime, Dicloxacillin) and one probiotic (Lactobacillus).  Cefixime and Dicloxacillin work by interfering with forming the bacterial cell wall (a protective covering) necessary for their survival. Thereby, damaging the bacterial cell wall and kills bacteria. Lactobacillus belongs to the class of probiotics (live microorganisms that keeps the body healthy) that help to restore good bacteria in the intestines. Thus, it prevents diarrhea and loss of beneficial bacteria due to prolonged intake of CEFI XL D 200MG TABLET.

Take CEFI XL D 200MG TABLET as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take CEFI XL D 200MG TABLET for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience vomiting, nausea, dizziness, diarrhea, stomach pain, indigestion, gas, headache, or vaginal itching. Most of these side effects of CEFI XL D 200MG TABLET do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to CEFI XL D 200MG TABLET, penicillin, or other medicines, please tell your doctor. Lactobacillus is a probiotic (live microorganism that keeps the body healthy) that helps restore good bacteria in the intestines. Directions for Use

Take CEFI XL D 200MG TABLET with or without food as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. Do not break, crush or chew it. Do not take CEFI XL D 200MG TABLET while going to bed or lying down to prevent stomach irritation or heartburn.
