About Candid B Cream 10 gm

Candid B Cream 10 gm is used to treat fungal infections, such as ringworm of the foot (tinea pedis or athlete's foot), ringworm of the groin (tinea cruris or jock itch), and ringworm of the body (tinea corporis). Fungal infection occurs when a fungus invades and affects the tissue on the skin.  Symptoms of a fungal infection include skin rash, irritation, redness and scaling of the skin.

Candid B Cream 10 gm is composed of two medicines: Clotrimazole (antifungal) and Beclomethasone (steroid). Clotrimazole stops the growth of fungi by causing damage and leakage to the fungal cell membrane. Beclomethasone belongs to the class of corticosteroids, which blocks the production of prostaglandins (chemical messengers) that make the affected area red, swollen and itchy. Thereby, Candid B Cream 10 gm helps treat fungal infections.

Candid B Cream 10 gm is for topical (for skin) use only. If the medicine gets into your eyes, nose, mouth or vagina, rinse with cold water. Candid B Cream 10 gm may cause common side effects such as itching, dryness, redness, and a burning sensation at the application site. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, consult your doctor.

Let your doctor know if you have any allergic reactions to Clotrimazole, Beclomethasone or any other medications. Do not put a dressing or bandage on the affected area since it increases the risk of side effects. Please check with your doctor before using Candid B Cream 10 gm if you have adrenal gland problems, cataracts or glaucoma, liver disease, and other skin infections. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult the doctor before starting Candid B Cream 10 gm.
