About Calcirol XT Tablet

Calcirol XT Tablet is a nutritional supplement used to treat iron, folic acid and vitamin B12 deficiencies, especially during pregnancy, as these commonly result in anaemia. Anaemia refers to low blood counts, where there is a reduced amount of haemoglobin in the blood cells.

Calcirol XT Tablet contains ‘’Calcium, L Methyl folate (folic acid), Methylcobalamin (Vitamin B12), Pyridoxal 5 Phosphate (Vitamin B6) and Vitamin D3.’’ Calcirol XT Tablet works by enhancing the production of red blood cells and haemoglobin, thereby correcting anaemia and anaemic states.

Calcirol XT Tablet does not generally cause any side effects. In very rare cases, Calcirol XT Tablet may cause side effects such as mild loss of appetite and nausea. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, consult the healthcare professional if these side effects persist.

Calcirol XT Tablet should not be used in case of any known allergy to either of the components. Calcirol XT Tablet should be used with caution in case of high risk or previous history of kidney disease or hypercalcaemia (high blood calcium levels). Inform your physician if you suffer from any kidney problems, diabetes, or phenylketonuria, if you have been immobilised for some time or if you have had any recent surgery.

management and treatment of Nutritional Deficiencies, Anaemia

Medicinal Benefits

Calcirol XT Tablet is a Vitamin used to prevent and treat nutritional deficiencies, primarily during pregnancy. It contains ’Calcium, L Methyl folate (folic acid), Methylcobalamine (Vitamin B12), Pyridoxal 5 Phosphate (Vitamin B6) and Vitamin D3. It is used to strengthen bones, joints and muscles. Calcirol XT Tablet helps in blood production and also helps in protecting the foetal brain cells for optimal growth and development. Calcirol XT Tablet works by enhancing the calcium and mineral content of bones. In addition, Calcirol XT Tablet promotes normal functioning and strength of muscle cells. Calcium helps by restoring normal calcium levels in the body, which is required for the optimal functioning of bones and joints. Vitamin D3 is an active form of Vitamin D, which increases the production of carrier proteins responsible for mobilising calcium ions from the gut into the body, replenishing its stores. Vitamin D3 also activates bone-producing cells (osteoblasts) and reduces urinary loss of calcium from the body. Hence, Vitamin D is vital in maintaining adequate levels of calcium in the body. L-Methyl folate, a form of folic acid, has multiple uses. It is an important ingredient required for the production of blood. It also acts as a promoter in the manufacturing of mood-lifting hormones responsible for regulating mood and helps combat mood swings and depression. Folic acid is also extremely important for the normal functioning of the nervous system and aids the development of the foetal brain. Vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin), is essential for DNA synthesis and is hence vital in the production of healthy blood cells and also in providing for foetal growth and development. Vitamin B12 also helps prevent any neural tube defects. Pyridoxal 5 Phosphate is a form of pyridoxine (Vitamin B6), which is also very useful in the production of red blood cells. Overall, Calcirol XT Tablet helps in treating and preventing anaemia and promoting the normal development of cells.
