About Befer Tablet

Befer Tablet is used to treat and prevent nutritional deficiencies such as iron deficiency anaemia, iron deficiency due to low intake of iron, or iron/nutritional deficiency that occurs during pregnancy and lactation. A nutritional deficiency occurs when the body does not absorb or get enough nutrients from food. Vitamins and minerals are necessary for body development and the prevention of diseases.

Befer Tablet is a combination of four supplements: Iron, Zinc, Folic acid and Cyanocobalamin. Iron helps in the transportation of oxygen throughout the body and the production of red blood cells. Zinc helps in the growth and development of body tissues. Folic acid is necessary for various bodily functions, such as nucleotide biosynthesis and remethylation of homocysteine. Cyanocobalamin helps in the proper functioning of the brain and nerves and the production of red blood cells. Together, Befer Tablet helps in treating nutritional deficiencies.

Take Befer Tablet as recommended. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects such as stomach upset, constipation, diarrhoea, nausea, and vomiting. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Disease/Condition Glossary

Nutritional deficiencies: A nutritional deficiency occurs when the body does not absorb or get enough nutrients from food. Vitamins and minerals are necessary for body development and the prevention of diseases. Sometimes your body is unable to absorb many nutrients even if you are consuming them. Nutrient deficiency can lead to many health problems like a weakened immune system, skin problems, digestion problems, defective bone growth, and neurological diseases.

Iron deficiency: It is a condition in which the body does not have enough red blood cells for carrying adequate oxygen to various body tissues. This can lead to anaemia. Anaemia can be temporary, which can be treated with the help of supplements, and it can also be long-term, which might require medical procedures. It makes you feel tired very quickly due to a lack of oxygen supply in the body. It is one of the most common blood disorders.
