Anstac Tablet is used to treat breast cancer in women who have gone through menopause (cessation of menses periods). Breast cancer is a type of cancer that develops in breast cells stimulated by the female sex hormone known as estrogen.

Anstac Tablet works by blocking the aromatase enzyme, which is involved in producing the estrogen hormone. The cancer cells require estrogen for their growth. Hence, by blocking the aromatase enzyme, Anstac Tablet prevents the growth of cancer cells. Together, Anstac Tablet helps prevent or stop the growth of tumours (cancer cells) in other body parts.

Take Anstac Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. Depending on your medical conditions, you are advised to take Anstac Tablet for as long as your doctor prescribes it. In some cases, you may experience common side effects such as headache, musculoskeletal (bone, muscle, or joint) pain, hot flashes, nausea, skin rashes, osteoporosis, and weakness. Do not hesitate to talk with your doctor if you persistently experience any of these side effects.

To treat your condition effectually, continue taking Anstac Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed. Do not stop Anstac Tablet midway. Talk to your doctor before taking Anstac Tablet if you have allergies, osteoporosis (thinning of bones), bone fractures, high levels of cholesterol, or severe liver or kidney disease. Avoid taking Anstac Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Anstac Tablet causes weakness and dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Anstac Tablet should not be given to children as safety has not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol with Anstac Tablet as it could lead to increased drowsiness and dizziness. Inform your doctor about your health condition and medications before taking Anstac Tablet to rule out any side effects.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Using thalidomide (immunomodulatory agent) with Anstac Tablet can increase the risk of dangerous blood clots.

Drug-Disease Interactions: Anstac Tablet may interact with disease conditions, including high cholesterol, osteoporosis (thinning of bone), heart disease, and liver disease.

• Eat a healthy diet and exercise regularly to maintain proper weight.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.
• Consume leafy vegetables, citrus fruits, fatty fish, berries, yoghurt, apples, peaches, cauliflower, cabbage, broccoli, beans, herbs, and spices.
• Avoid fried, processed meats, refined carbs, and added sugar.
• Get optimal sleep, and rest well.

• Your doctor may advise you to regularly measure body density before, during, and after the treatment as the Anstac Tablet may cause bone thinning due to the reduction of estrogen in the body.
• Anstac Tablet should be taken under strict medical supervision. The doctor will regularly monitor your condition while you are taking it.
