About Eczmate S Cream

Eczmate S Cream belongs to the class of ‘dermatological agents’ primarily used to treat skin diseases such as eczema and psoriasis. Eczema is a condition in which skin becomes red, itchy, and inflamed due to external agents such as soaps, dyes, or other irritants. Psoriasis is an autoimmune (immune system attacks healthy cells) skin disorder in which the skin becomes scaly, swelled up, and itchy.

Eczmate S Cream is a combination of two medicines: Mometasone and Salicylic acid. Mometasone belongs to the corticosteroid class and has anti-inflammatory, immunosuppressive, and antiproliferative (inhibit cell growth) properties. It blocks prostaglandins production (chemical messengers) that cause inflammatory symptoms such as red, swollen, and itchy rashes. Salicylic acid is a keratolytic medicine that breaks down the clumps of keratin (protein present on the skin), removes dead skin cells, and softens the skin. It enhances the absorption of mometasone. It also acts as an anti-inflammatory and topical antibacterial agent.

You should use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. Eczmate S Cream may cause common side effects like itching, dryness, redness, irritation, and burning sensation at the application site. These side effects usually do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if you notice any other symptoms or the side effects persist longer, please consult your doctor.

Do not use Eczmate S Cream if you are allergic to Mometasone, Salicylic acid, or any other ingredients present in it. Eczmate S Cream is not recommended for use in conditions such as pustular psoriasis (characterized by scaly, pus-filled bumps), rosacea (a skin condition affecting the face), acne, skin atrophy (thinning of the skin), dermatitis around the mouth, itching around the genitals, diaper rash, bacterial infections such as impetigo, tuberculosis (infection of the lung), syphilis (a sexually transmitted disease), recent allergic reaction to a vaccination, open wounds, broken skin, or other viral, fungal, or parasitic skin infections. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
